Could use a little help if possible. Finally having a good life and getting some weps/items when I decided to make a very early morning raid on Stary Sobor. Seeing as there was only one other player online at the time I thought it would be fine. Wrong. That one other player also happened to be there and waited until i was clearing some zombies to snipe me. Managed to escape to the woods and bandaged up. Now I'm down to 2500 blood and out of food. I decided to try scouring Grishino hoping to find food, or a hunting knife to be able to prepare cooked meat but had zero luck. Now I'm logged out to avoid starving to death when i discovered this thread. If someone could help me out i dont have a lot to offer, except maybe some ammo. My steam name is lickerbox1, or i'll be checking this thread for a bit. Thanks

This guy is a champ. Responded quickly, was patient with me since i didnt know how to read a map, or use in game chat. Patched me up and set me up with some food. Cant thank him enough. A night of good scavenging did not go to waste. Hope to pass it on once i get myself set up a little better in game.

Giving props to Soulshaper2. I got into a really bad situation where I managed to bandage myself at 150 blood. Got in touch with him and we worked out the meeting. Being the cautious person he is, which I understand given I'm the same way, we finally got to meet up after I gave him the wrong map coords but the right verbal directions. His overwatch team were very professional making sure the shots they took were zeds and not the injured man popping up to check his surroundings. At one point I had a crawler coming into pretty close proximity of me (no joke...5-7 meters). One slap and I was insta dead. A few moments after spotting him behind me starting to close in...crack, zed down.

Instead of giving up and going to bed since he's from the UK, he refused and continued to look for me until the job was done. Not an easy task finding a prone person deep in the woods.

So, definitely gotta give it to Soul for his effort as well as his teams aim. I really wasn't expecting that level of determinition and accuracy. The whole encounter would've been much shorter had I used the DayzDB map, which I'm also thanking him for, my new replacement.

Updating on my situation...

I still don't have reliable internet here at my new apartment (so please stop sending me requests for help!!! I've gotten seven more since the last time I managed to check this forum!), but I should have internet again sometime around the 8th or 9th of this month. This thread keeps moving faster, I guess more people are aware of it and more medics are joining up. I know I've managed to recruit a few medics recently at least. We were just hitting 200 pages a week ago?

Anyway, keep up the good work. I should hopefully be able to rejoin you all soon.

I was in a pretty bad situation near Vybor, and after finally after I met up with Dutch Miller there was a glitchy zombie spawn which ended up getting him killed. Unfortunately he ended up dying before I could blood bag him. But huge thumbs up for him taking the time to find me and help me out.

It was one hell of a rescue for my second mission as a medic, I'll say that.

Here's a little more detailed report:

About an hour or so before I saw Xxav's post on the thread I found a beaten up old tractor in the NW airfield, and laying right next to it was its deceased former driver. I took some of his medical supplies and rode the tractor up to Grishino, where I searched the thread for some nearby patients. Finding Xxav's post I added him on steam and we worked out our plan.

After a little while, we found his location at the smokestack near Vybor, so I boarded my tractor and rode off to meet him. Unfortunately, that tractor was a little too beat to hell and exploded in the center of Kabanino. I received a broken bone along with 10k of my blood lost, giving me 2k left. I crawled out of the town and ran my way north of the smokestack and closed in, slipping in and out of unconsciousness the whole way. When I got there, we were still unsure of his exact location, resulting in me crawling through several buildings and along a road until I finally pinpointed his position.

While crawling to him, I heard gunshots and went unconscious at the same time, which scared me to death, thinking I had been shot. Xxav then informed me that another player had run by shooting and then left, attracting many zombie followers. Thinking this was my chance, I quickly made my way to the gate, where Xxav was. I immediately gave him morphine and blood, but zombies were quickly closing in on us, so we crawled into the grass. With zombies in every direction around us and me losing consciousness constantly, I threw a smoke grenade a good distance from us, which bought us some time. We crawled into another patch of bushes and I put a blood pack in his backpack.

Xxav is a newer player, and was unfamiliar with the inventory system, which is completely understandable - let's be honest, it's the most confusing and terrible part of this game. While we trying to sort things out a zombie spawned on us and hit me, so I immediately shot it and bandaged myself, then got up and crouch-ran with about 700 blood to try and make it the safety of the nearby treeline outside the town. About two steps into my run I fell over unconscious, where another zombie killed me. I'm not sure exactly what happened, as it was a pretty hectic situation, and it Xxav tells me the zombie hit me from fairly far away because of glitches. In any case, I was killed and I quickly told Xxav to grab anything he could use from my body, most importantly my alice pack, which contained food that he desperately needed. I attempted to explain the clunky controls of the inventory system, which, to his credit, seemed to grasp pretty quickly and was able to get out alive and well. I didn't bother trying to have him save my things for me, as it was too far north to easily get and he needed them more than I did.

So that's the full story of my second rescue mission. I may have died and lost some valuable items, but at the end of the day it's about the player who you helped to live another day(Z).

Once I loot some hospitals and get some gear I'll be ready to help again.

Can someone help me please, im just near the road across fro Cap Golova with a broken bone and 260 blood !! i fell off the rocks across from there trying to get down the mountain LOL.. i need morphine and blood badly !

Wow great story man. Are U trying to become a medic? Either way its always good to save someone especially someone whos new at the game. Makes their experience better than them being shot in the face every time they spawn. Kuddos for going out of your way especially when things went to shitl. Made the ultimate sacrifice to save another :P

I no longer need medical assistance, Klye32 helped me out with a blood transfusion, made sure I had everything i needed as far as med supplies/food/water goes, and then escorted me out of the city. Thanks a lot man!
