well depending on when anyone is on, no fort at the minute due to the events of last night, up to Steins to decide the new location since he was the founder

OK cool. Was it you in there then? I counted four guys, the fourth took me down literally as the server went down for a restart. I'd say it's a good spot for a trade post but there are insecure points in the walls that need constant watch.

Why don't you consider using a second server as 'passport control'. You have a couple of guys on that server with little or no gear. They meet the people who want to enter the Post and guide them to a very specific point within the post where they can log into UK7 (or wherever). Anyone who joins the server hosting the post who is not where they are expected is shot on sight. Use of 3rd party comms (Skype, TS3 etc) would be required but it would allow better control of who comes in and recognition of genuine customers. Also the use of comms would mean that you would expect people so again, unexpected guests are shot on sight.

Again, I think your present spot is a good one, quite secure and with a few guards inside and out you should be secure-ish.....

Last question, was it actually your guys I shot? Or just randoms in the outpost? If it is the former then I will offer my services to you as penance. If not, then well, I may come as a customer. It'd be nice to know either way.

Well from what I know I dont think its a trade post, just a safe spot where we will offer help and a safe place to stay, I wasnt in the fort, couldnt even make it due to being at the other side of the map but I know that someone was taking pot shots at the fort so the guys decided to fire on anyone that came close unless they followed the rule of walking down the train line, someone decided to lob grenades over the wall and ghosted in and killed everyone, so were moving location ( possibly depends on Steins ) depends on the time last night I know that the bandits took the place over but the next fort will be top notch security for sure, cant run a safe zone if you cant keep it safe, but I think in the case of someone taking shots at the fort gives us a just reason to shoot on sight unless you declare yourself as a friendly, we will see how things go :D

Since players going for haven don t have anything to comunicate, How do i know that the player next to me it s not the bandit shooting everyone. I love the idea but seems more like a bandit party then survivors HQ.

My guess would be doing in the fort that is next to the coast and easier to defend. And use some kind of external comunication from players who want to joing like TS.

Steins and all the guys are trying to get our hands on a ventrilo server, we know its tough if there is no way to communicate but there is a picture of the area on the map so you know exactly where the fort is and we will post up if there are any of us in the fort and the proper procedure to enter the fort, we cant just have people coming in from all directions, less security, its not a bandit party, any survivors are welcome how do you think I got in with all the guys? plus steins put his and hordeslicers skype up on the forum so people can add them and get in on our skype chats but getting our hands on a ventrilo would be a great step

Ah, shizzle. It was me at the end I think. I chucked a couple of grenades as I thought 3 of you were quite close together (I am a crap shot it appears). I did NOT ghost in. Not my style, I don't hack, script, alt+f4 or ghost I play honestly. I was already in the compound when I tossed the grenades. I entered on the south side where there is a large gap in the wall. You had sandbags and wire there but I removed them and entered there. Hence, as I was saying, it IS a secure compound but you need to maintain watch on certain parts of the wall.

So rather than try again with a new spot, learn from what happened at this one and improve it. I recognised Mikhael's name as well (just been reading back through posts from yesterday), sorry Mik.

Ah, doubt it was you that did the killing tho :) the guy came in and posted a massive reply saying '' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA DONT FUCK WITH ME '' along those lines '' I HAVE ALL YOUR GOOD STUFF '' dirt off our shoulder we will still try to keep a safe zone fort for people with tents and security, dont worry we may move location to a secret secure area that we will only disclose the location to those we know can play friendly :P

Ah, well I didn't post anything up in chat so it weren't me then. Good. The main reason I came looking was all the flares and I heard shots as I approached.

I guess by the little pokey out tongue face that you are lumping me in the 'Bandit' category then? Fair enough given what happened but I can be trusted and my offer to help out still stands. Put it this way, if I had known what was going on there I would either have stayed away or announced myself.

Nah im not calling you a bandit man :) no problems here, im sure everyone will understand, add Steins on skype under this name and just tell him you want to help out when we get the next base up and running, and yeah the flares haha, I heard the guys on the mic saying '' Who popped all the flares, that was a bad idea! '' all is done and dusted either way :)

Hey, I just got ArmA2 today to play this and am interested in this project. My first few times in game have met with other "survivors" who seem to think surviving is taking out others who can help if they'd just work together.

UMMMMM WHAT you didn't use a sniper rifle first off. Secondly the fort had nowhere to eb sniped FROM, unless we were on the roof, which we weren't. Furthermore there is a single entrance that you CLEARLY didn't use since you would've died instantly. For the record you came in through the back with a machinegun so.......enough of the BULL, and acting tough come at me with a fair fight and see who wins then lol, exploiting the game is just too easy for most.

Hey faggot, it helps if i attacked the berezino fort. With the barbed wire screen tears it was impossible. It was funny that one of you ran east of ur force cause you saw flashlight signals then the whole fort was abandoned after the restart.

Kinda awkward you dont even know who your talking to.
