Keys, Transportation, and Vehicles

I have some suggestions, hear me out:

1. Keys. Players should be able to drop keys for vehicles in certain areas to prevent stealing. The computer would detect whether or not the person had the keys on them. When the person went to disconnect, he could drop the keys somewhere random. Some vehicles obviously do not have keys.

2. Transportation Companies: Certain people, such as a group owning a helicopter, should be able to pick people up in exchange for money or goods. While the heli is hovering above a marked spot, the Survivor should be able to offer some goodies in order to board. The pilot should be able to deem the goods acceptable, and once so, the person should be able to get in the vehicle.

3. New Vehicles: Blackhawk helicopter, unarmed transportation Humvee (no guns, but more spaces for fuel and such) and generally more vehicles with more cargo space, more fuel efficeincy and passenger space.

4. Ability to spawn in on a friend.

A person should have the ability to friend someone, and once they log in, should be able to spawn right behind them if they choose.

5. Garages. Folks should be able to keep their vehicles in a safe location, like a garage a person can build using scrap metal or something.

6. Clans. Obviously. Groups that you can spawn in on and hang out with.

7. Fortresses: If a certain number of people are ina town, zombies should no longer spawn in that town, as people may be guarding a safe zone. This would provide hope for lost survivors.

2. No - There is no money or use for it now.

3. No - Don't think this is a priority or we need anymore atm.

4. No - Although convenient, this is not Battlefield.

5. No - It's called a forest, hide it. If someone steals it. Oh well find another or STEAL it back. There is a set number of vehicles on the server if they are all spawned and taken then your job is to hunt for them from other players if you want one. Nothing is permanent in this game.

6. No in game feature is needed for this.

7. Maybe, the only thing I might agree on, but also no supplies should spawn int he town either if its being held. Zombies should continue to spawn out on the perimeter.

I think all these ideas would detract from the game.

Many people seem to be posting ideas to make the game easier, spawning on each other, safe areas etc.

This isn't what makes the game great , it is the fear, the uncertainty, the difficulty, the challenge.

There's currently only one fortress in the game.. But Devil's Castle is mine >8)

Only if you could smash the windows and steal the car anyway.

This system is already in? Just ask a player if they want a ride and charge them for it.

Sounds like you only want bigger and better... and less fun. :)

I won't even bother trying to argue why this would break the game. But if rocket announces that teleportation is invented in the DayZ universe, ok.

Or hide it in the woods. I hope there never will be any kind of safehouses, safe areas or such.

Check the Bandit or Survivor forums.

This is a dynamic that could be interesting. But i guess once the spawn rates are fixed this will sort of happen.

2. Game don`t deny this kind of situations, if players want to trade some transportation it`s up to them (besides currency in post apocalyptic world... bitch please)

3. Its not offroad races simulator, don`t You see that devs plan is to make it serious shit?

4. yeah on this one standing against your loosed equimpent? try /godmode -on istead

5. game allows to drive vechicles to buildings, as we could see in some vids even choppers can move into a barricaded hangar ;)

6. ahhh.... maybe private military company pocket edition (just drop some water on and wait for efect)

7. this one is not so bad as previous, but not for free you should reting that and put some price for this kind of action

1. I like this idea but with two changes. You should be able to hotwire the car anyway, it just takes longer. The keys should return to the car after the player logs out.

2. You can do this anyway.

3. Unnecessary, vehicles are rare and not a big part of the game.

4. I'm a bit iffy about this. I think there should be some kind of friend features but this seems a bit too easy and there's tons of potential for abuse.

5. No, this is the apocalypse people should be allowed to kill you and take your shit.

6. See 4.

7. Good idea.

In 1.5.8m it will be possible to create the so called fortresses with zombies unable to spawn in a certain palyer radius...

Spread out a few players in a perimeter, so they cover a certain area, clear the inside, of is, hang out in the middle with exchanging "guard duty" to prevent zombie spawning. See, you dont need the game to hand it to you, use your brain.
