Dumbest thing ever..

So.. Decided I would bust the glass in a hospital with a grenade. I get a pretty good distance away thinking if I am to close I might overshoot it and land a nade on the roof. Boy.. was I wrong the grenade basically lands at my feet I have time enough to turn around and take a step before it goes off. I fall unconscious and start bleeding I manage to get up and bandage before bleeding to death. At this point I am pretty fucked up well I loot some bandages, adrenaline, and grab a few pain pills. Then a Zombie aggros me from across the street and charges, so I aim my 1911 and fire.. dude starts to toss another grenade I'm like WTF!! please hurl that bitch this time.. fuck me.. dude fumbles the grenade again tossing it like a girl.. this time it kills me..

Grenades in ArmA should be treated like high-explosive tennisballs.

They are gonna bounce all over the damn place.

The best use with grenades is to leave them behind and let someone else loot them... cause they'll end up killing themselves, or their team. Definitely not me.

So you fucked up throwing a grenade, and are pissed at yourself?

Get familiar with the throwing mechanics, it gets pretty easy once you get some experience under your belt. Also, you can break that glass with everything from tin cans to small arms fire.

I used a grenade for the first time last night to blow up a almost mint tractor we found.

Since we had 3 people in the group and no home base to stash it we decided to blow it up.

Guess I was a little too close when the nade went off, screen went grey, couldn't hear anything, slightly blurred vision but took no damage so all was OK.

If you have two grenades and throw one, you have to switch weapon again if you don't want to throw the last one. It might be a good idea to practice using grenades a bit in the editor/armory.

Hey man, that's fine... I forgot I had a grenade in my inventory once, thought I'd just switched to throw a tin can at a window... Turned out to be a 'nade and my buddy was standing right next to it.

I had just about enough time to yell "Shit... Donny, RUN!" while running around the corner, while Donny said "what?" then blew up.

Never picked up a 'nade since.

Haven't played the actual ARMA game in forever so forgot all that stuff..

You have to shoot the left side of the glass for it to break.. went to get my gear back found a makarov on the way there unloaded every mag i had for it into the glass and nothing, threw a can for the first time (held the button down) and didnt do anything then ran back to church grabbed a double barreled shotgun and shot it 6 times and nothing then shot on the left side just for something new and it broke..

left my 3rd grenade on my body.

I love granades. It is always fun to follow someone into a town then toss a granade in their general direction which alerts all the zombies in the town which then converge on that location. I have never killed anyone with a granade but have seen them chased of by zombies atracted to the explosion.
