The DMR, M24, SVD Camo, CZ550 and M14 are all excellent guns. With these in the game, the AS50 and M107 seem somewhat redundant and a little bit "easymode". -------------- > Get AS50 > Shoot someone in the toe > Instant kill. This makes the game easy. I've been there, done it and got rapidly very bored of doing so. You don't really have to aim carefully, think about your positioning, worry about people being able to fight back. It's kinda dull. Winning without having to think about it bores the shit out of me. --------------- > Get M24 > Shoot someone in the toe. > Watch them run behind a building and bandage up. > Firefight. This is more fun. Your failure to instakill someone (through not aiming that well) results in exciting gameplay, exchanges of fire. If you do get the instakill by landing a good headshot, you can congratulate yourself on an epic shot. This is more rewarding and entertaining. --------------- The only issue is the readiness with which people tend to alt+F4 out, denying you the exciting gameplay. However, I'd say that responding to that by going all easymode, you deny yourself the good times that could occur if someone doesn't alt+F4 out, and cause other people an annoying "well that sucked" interaction and excitement-less death.

Yes there are ways of making yourself pretty much invulnerable. Yes it sucks. You just got dropped by a hacking doucheface, You'll get used to it, and will eventually find a server where this is not likely to happen.

Oh... One other very odd thing that may or may not be related to the new update... Shortly after those screeenshots I linked were taken, we took a look around the section of Berezino which is closer to the coast. I got my legs broken and knocked out. Partly by a gate, and partly by the aggroed zeds who were chasing me through said gate. While I was unconcious, I had the "session lost" message appear on my screen. A few seconds later, the server having gone "nope" at me for some unknown reason, the guy I who was with me went "uhh... Joe, just got a message saying you died, and your body is right infront of me." over TS. Little bit confused by this. Never had a server throw me off before, unless the server outright crashed... And I didn't think it was possible for someone to die while not actually connected to any server at all...

I'm sure you're extremely important. <_< --------- Wanna know why I don't shoot the fresh spawns? I like firefights. Challenging two-sided firefights. (provided folks don't go into AltF4/server ghosting mode) If I shoot everyone before they get themslves to a position where they can provide that, then I'm gonna spend my time wanting something that I'm actively preventing from happening. But again, you're one of those folks who doesn't want a challenge. They wanna feel like they're superiour. It's normally indicative of someone with shitty self esteem. Wanna talk about it?

Oh I remember you... You're the truly remarkable floppy chode that likes to wave his inconsequential dick around in a poor attempt at impressing everyone. 1. I doubt you bother shooting new spawns. You are saying this for a couple of reasons. To appear like an incredible badass, and to piss everyone off. 2. If you do shoot new spawns, the only reason you'd bother is to assert what you believe is your manly dominance over people. Same reason you'd bother saying so in this thread. "Look how many people I can annoy!!!!" You're the type of person who measures their personal success on how hard they kick the guy below them. I suspect you're probably a little older, suffering from the man-menopause or maybe way past it... Mourning the loss of any real testosterone by attempting to take out all that frustration and grief on people who're playing a game on the internet. Far from making you appear impressive, it actually makes you seem a little sad. Vaguely pathetic. It's like the old rockers who you see floating around. Maybe they were awesome in their day, but now the spandex clings to their wrinkly ballsack, and makes everyone wish they'd just got old with dignity. Y'know... I enjoy hunting people in this game, but why would I want to bother kicking a puppy? I'd rather hunt something with teeth. Man up and face a real challenge, grandpa. No point in shooting the nubs, they're only gonna die to zeds a few minutes later. I suspect the hunt and the fight isn't what appeals to you. It's just the +1 on the murder count that matters. To you, the glory is in the numbers. To someone who's not desperately trying to assert themselves as a dominant force (to make up for their fading/faded masculinity), it's all about the quality. I'll be honest. I typed this to get a rise out of you (if you're still capable of "rising" to any occasion, which I doubt).

Does this thread serve a purpose? He honestly could have changed the title to "I like the M1014" and the content to "Because it shoots and stuff, lol." and we'd be looking at exactly the same thread, except more explicitly fucking worthless.
