This needs to be an MMO!

DayZ Online, hell yeah I'd pay to play that.

They should make a leveling system eg. -10000 humanity = Bandit, -50000 humanity = Serial Killer, -100000 = Hunter etc.

Other classes could be Vigilante, Zombie Hunter, Rescuer etc. of course even maxing out your class still makes you weak enough so that zombies can rush you down and kill you.

Also make the game world heaps bigger, like 1,000 square km with multiple towns and cities. Players still drop everything on death and have to start again. Also make it so that some towns can be rid of zombies and settled by players making village communities of survivors helping each other survive. Eg. during the day people have to collect supplies and build up the town and at night they have to defend the place.

And make a clan system where bandits and survivors can form groups and more communities. This game world would be like a Mad Max set in zombie apocalypse where say 30 survivors have slowly built up a town meanwhile a gang of bandits 40 strong armed with heavy weapons and vehicles try to capture the town and kill all the survivors.

If players die they become zombies so the zombie population is constantly growing as well as respawning daily. And make it so that humans can get infected by the virus and slowly become zombies. The virus can be cured but takes a lot of effort and can put the village communities at risk.

Imagine 1 person in the village getting the disease and either being silent about it and slowly passing it on to the rest of the village OR getting found out and either killed or cast into exile or given expensive medical treatment.

Add in a barter system that does not use money but rather goods and you would have the world's most immersive MMO ever made.

The possibilities are damn endless. Think Mad Max meets The Postman meets Fallout meets Left 4 Dead.

Come on devs, you know you want this and so do we!

This is already an MMO.

You should post individual ideas in the suggestions forum. But, I suggest searching first.

Okay. You go build and fund the server that will track enough concurrent online players for this to be a "Massively" Multiplayer Online game, and then you get to deal with the thousands of angry people bitching about the unending bloodbath that ensues.

Just don't do it here in Day Z. I don't want to get an idea that dumb all over this awesome mod-in-progress.

What needs to happen mainly is survivor communities that can band together and build settlements. This will make the game last YEARS longer.

I think they should add class trainers and Auction houses and make cherno a no PVP area with NPC guards. Make NW air field a 20 man raid and the NE airfield a 10 man. Make heroic versions of both. Make Stary and the castles 5 man dungeons that drop pre raid gear. Nerf anything the bads struggle with and make there be grave yards every Km or so so you can run back to your body. Also make there be flight paths.

Im not saying its a bad idea, because its not, it's a great idea I just don't think it is the right thing fir DayZ or its community. But thank you for sharing! =D

The only way this could be successful as an MMO is if it were some kinda of mix of DayZ+Minecraft (crafting/gathering and procedurally generated world)+Eve Online(1 persistent server+alliances+politics etc.).

As an idea, the potential is there. Whether the devs have the vision to realise it is another thing entirely. An MMO is a huge undertaking.

I see too many players on this 225 km map with only 40 players, an MMO version would have to have a truly massive world in order to preserve the post apocalyptic feel.

If we had more than 40-50 players there would be more player killing=more bandits=more rage quitters=more people telling others not to buy it.

the only thing out of that i would agree with is some kind of trade screen, it'd make it easier to give stuff to your buddies or people you meet.

Dayz is a mod for ARMA. The devs are still working on a way to stop players from DCing. The possibilites are endless!
