Gutting Animals recieves no Meat.

Hello, so I logged on today and noticed my Food meter was low, so I went off to kill an animal, but after I gutted it no meat appeared, I thought it might have been a one time bug, so I move on to other animals and the same happen there. So then I thought it must be a server issue, so I tried a couple of servers and the exact same thing happened there.

I've posted this already in Bug Report section, but I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this since 1.7.2.3.

I don't know if this matters, but I'm wearing a Guille suit. Maybe there is a bug related to the Guille suit and why the meat doesnt appear after gutting.

I can't really play until they fixed this issue, I'm a sniper by heart, only go into small towns when it is essentially necessary.. But with this Meat Bug I'd have to spend my time in towns all the time to find food to survive..

Myself and my friends have also experienced this, in both Camo and Ghillie clothing. The bug apparently affects you looting items, but not placing items into a loot pile (you can give, but you can't take).

It really sucks, but the best way to deal with it at the moment (until it's fixed) is to keep your civilian clothes on you. Kill the animal, switch to civvies, gut, loot, then switch back to Ghillie/Camo. If you don't have your old clothes any more, then I'd recommend either spending as little time as possible in game to prevent starving to death, or try to stash your gear somewhere safe, respawn ( :( ) and go pick it all back up, minus the Ghillie.

I lost my ghille suit after the last update, but I did notice today on 1723, that after I killed a rabbit, the gut animal option only appeared when i looked at a patch of ground about 5 meters away from the carcass..

After about 2 mins of wondering about this, the option vanished, and then appeared above the carcass that I could actually see..

I'm guessing that it's a synch issue, of where you see an item, may take a minute or two, to update properly from the hive/server..

You can see this happening a lot if you use a crossbow.. you can see the bolt you fired, but have to wait a minute for your client, the hive and your server to catch up, before you get the 'pick up' option..

Hang about for a min or two (two max), and see if the option appears where it should.. in the mean time, scan around the animal/bolt to see if the server thinks it's somewhere other than where your client says it is..

This is especially annoying for bolts.. but meh..

Are you back in a ghille? In civies?

It could still be a synch issue, if your client still hasn't properly synched inside 2 mins (the time taken for bodies to despawn)..

I gutted a boar today with no clothing upgrades and recieved no meat although it said on my screen that there was 4 steaks on the carass. Although after that I couldnt loot the boar.

I succesfully managed to Gut an animal and recieve meat this time, maybe it's random. I was wearing the Ghillie.

I haven't had any problems getting meat in a Ghillie.

I've had the same issue with the normal clothes on it appears that you have to wait a couple mins and then the meat appears

Yeah happen to me too. The only way to get the meat is to have the crosshair at some exact spot on the carcass so you need to walk around the carcass and look for the magical spot.

I think this is pretty much the answer. The past 3 animals I have found weren't wanting to give me the option to take the meat, however moving around and circling the corpse eventually found the tiny magic spot which brought the option up.
