Stamina hunger etc

Recommended Posts

Stamina is one factor, that isn't much of a factor in this game. Would be nice if you could or more correctly couldn't run forever... Would make people walk more and not just sprint to every destination, but actually make you explore the sorundings more too. It would even give people a reason to find and repair a vehicle.

Would also like to have thirst and hunger systen to be more bound to how you move, if you sprint all the time hunger and thirst would obviously drain a lot faster, and vice versa...

Which brings me to the zombies. You could slow them down drastically if a system like this would be implemented. And there for improve on the whole survival horror theme.

Try travelling from one way to the other on the map a few times and you'll feel like you got plenty of reason to get yourself a vehicle. ;x

Vehicles wasn't really the purpose of this thread, but making the game more about survival. Not just running from one place to the other....

Agree with this but other than that it's already hard enough to get from one end of the map to the other, no need to make it any harder.

IRL you wouldn't be running like an idiot anyway. You would conserve you strength a bit better.

True, its a good point, but then u would also have to conseed that a zombie with dead muscle probably couldnt move like they do either

They are not "dead", they are infected.

even so, if the sprint was changed, what hope would we have of getting away from Z's chasing us, unless their sprint or run spoeed was altered also

If you ever watched the video that was posted here you would have known by now why the Z are moving like that.

the video is pointless within this discussion, as they move like that and we move as we do. Once u start changing the player movement u have to look at the difficulty these changes make to us....its not impossible to evade z's chasing atm, but if u restrict the amount of time we can run, u also need to look at the z movement

Yeah that would be a good update.

Other things that you've suggested wouldn't work unless they balanced the game.

Just two hours ago me and my buddy aggroed a whole town of zombies ( min 20 ), running away while beeing shot at from the distance by a pvp camper. I somehow lost the zombies pursueing me without even firing a shot and my friend only had about 6 of them after him when he entered the forest with me rushing to help him, but he capped all of them with his shotgun before i got close enough. So yes it is possible to avoid zombies.

Which brings me to another thing, what is the hurry? Why do people need to get from one point to the other as fast as possible? This is kinda the thing I want to get away from with all of this. And make it so that any place on the map should and could be an adventure.

Its very true that there are hot spots on the map, these are designed though for planning, direction, suspense and motives.

You can take ur time if thats what you want, sometimes i want to meet friends, and like the run through forests....down to personal choice really

I agree, and made the point above, atm u can avoid z's, but the likleyhood is that if the run was limited to a distance and u were being chased by 20 z's u would be respawning on the coast.

Just like in real life, without the respawning.

So what you are saying, is that you want things to be easy, have zombies as pets? Zombies speed would obviously be changed to adjust to the fatigue, but if you're out in the open with 20 zombies, then life should be on the line...

well again thats the point i made above also, if our speed was changed, then z's speed would also need changing....evolution posted above about balance, and thats essential

I havent found this game to be easy so far, sometimes u can avoid, sometimes ur dead.
