Hi everyone.

I just left a gameplay session where I killed two guys over nothing. Why? Because they didn't reply when I asked "friendly". This happened in Elektro, on the bottom floor of one of the houses, and I had to kill the "mutes" because I knew there was a gun upstairs that they could take to shoot me in the back, yet I took the time to ask them if they were friends, and no reply at all. I'd just like to leave this advice for new players: Unless you are armed and intend to kill, if someone asks if you're friendly, say "yes". Just that.

Had the same situation, cornered into a room by a few guys with rifles, i type friendly but no reply, i was unarmed at the time but fully stocked up food :beans:, drinks and everything else i need to survive so i just log off. :blush:

I'm all for killing people who don't understand english as they annoy the fuck outa me when I play other games. I swear the only thing more annoying than a 10 year old who won't stfu on a games global nonmutable mic channel is a russian 10yr old who doesn't understand that you're telling him to stfu and won't stop fucking talking even if there's noone there responding to him. Not that I ever would log off in any situation, but can you really get permabanned for doing so? If yes, than how would you provide evidence?

I would hardly call that a combat situation, especially if you are not armed. As long as no shots are fired and you are not bleeding or passed out and then log off then its a sanctioned save your hide situation tbh.

Also a microphone is your friend in this game, typing is disabled on most servers.

And yes you could get banned for something like that if people make a case out of it, albeit a pretty unfair one at that. The ban would be for that server only, bans for all dayz servers are reserved for hackers and exploit abusers.

Nah, HalloweenNGT's just been trolling. You won't get you banned for logging off. I can just say I'm logging off for lunch or there's an important appointment. If you can ban people for logging off, there will already be thousands of disgruntled players. Perma-bans are mostly reserved for hackers and griefers.

Don't type use voice chat. Most ppl don't read chat anyway even if it's the only message for the moment.

A voice can't be overheard unless those idiots turned their sound off, or didn't look on how to use voice coms on how to answer, it's their fault then. If they don't speak english bad luck for them, the whole world communicates in english.

Asking someone if they are friendly is just so weird. How do i know if the guy asking me if im friendly is? And why would i ever say no to the question? Asking people if they are friendly is just setting yourself up to be killed.
