Recommended Posts

Its funny that people think if the world went to shit everyone would be all butterflies and rainbows.. The hard truth is if shit hit the fan you better bet your ass people are gonna look out for there own and defend what they have..

i have over 15 guns and thousands of rounds of ammo stored away because the way things are going today i wouldn't be surprised if dayz went irl soon..

Nope, I think people would be decent, apart from the minority of people (mostly Americans because of that bloody wanking dead show). If the only thing keeping you from killing other people is the break down of society/law enforcement you're a psychopath. Especially if you've got a backpack full of beans and aren't starving.

Don't be ridiculous, in case of an actual crisis people would be so scared at first that they would just try to find other people to group up with and to communicate with, they would need a leader, someone they think would be able to do the right thing. Only then, when everybody would be part of a group, people would start being protective when meeting other groups and do crazy stuff in order to survive because they are afraid to die or see someone they love die.

What you see in DayZ currently are lonewolves who kill for sport. You wouldn't witness that unless these people were already psychopath beforehand and no, not everybody is a sociopath/psycho at heart or will become one after 2 weeks.

People cry over getting murdered because they either want player interaction (understandable, some of my best DayZ moments have involved player interaction) or they get too attached to their gear. Players get attached to their gear because they either don't understand a large portion of the game's concept or they're just bad players and as such, feel that reaching their former glory is going to be a lot of hard work. Not to toot my own horn, but I can get geared out (without exploits/hacks/tent hoards/etc) within 1 hour max. My logic dictates that if I can do it, so can you.

Sadly, IMO, a good majority of gamers are fucking terrible... hence, they constantly whine, bitch, and moan until the bar is set lower for them. Many good gamers can attest to this as they've probably seen it happen in more than one online game before.

I had my UAZ stolen right out from under my nose, thanks to a particular dumbass I won't name. Shortly after, I was killed and lost my NVGs... did I come running to the forums to make a QQ thread about it? No, I shrugged that shit off and kept it moving. Death is a part of life, virtual or real, accept that.

So in other words, we should kill everything that moves, good or bad?

In real life we can jump to other dimensions to get a better position on a target or quickly stop existing when under fire without dying. These dimension also have a lot of different stuff laying on the ground so have your pick! Oh, this dimension doesn't have the gun you want, just check the next one!

Don't use real life to prop up your argument about a video game. No matter how realistic the game strives to be. Besides, people put in hours just trying to find gear in a picked over server only to get murdered by some guy whose been server hopping all day. It can get frustrating. (People strip servers of loot and then dump the goods on their home server. This leaves nothing for noobies who have never seen loot on a fresh server)

Just wait. Once the noobs learn to look for recently reset servers things are going to get messy.

It's funny that you think if shit hits the fan people will kill each other instantly after day 1. It was nice before when you actually teamed up with people and got Pk'd sometimes, not always. Now this mod has turned into a deathmatch with zombies mixed in, its stupid.

In real life when you die.. you die. There's no other words you need to understand this simple concept. This is a game. In a game *with weapons* you just do this: you use those weapons to collect kills. It doesn't count if they are zombies, other players, monsters, aliens.

If you think that in real life in a possible zombie apocalypse you would find half of the survivors camping in an adandoned airport with a camo suit to snipe other survivors... you must be really really dumb, or a kid (-7yo) that thinks the RL is a movie or a cartoon.

It's funny that people think DayZ is an accurate portrayal of how life would be if it actually happened.

No one is thinking that.

yes, yes they are.

Ok let me explain something that happened to me just now. I had just geared up completely to the point where I could survive against zombies no problem. I was just about to leave when I saw someone in an open field. I scoped in using my 550 and heard his fast heartbeat. A bandit. I shot him with a round to the head, he shot me a bit and knocked me unconscious but I lived. Afterwards I saw someone but he wasn't a bandit so I let him go. I go and loot the body. I had just finished when I look back and see the guy I let go shoot me in the head twice with a double barrel. That is NOT realistic, that is not supposed to be a part of the game if that is what Rocket is going for. You can't say you would do something in a situation like that when it hasn't happened. Do you starve yourselves in real life when your food meter is flashing? I don't think so. People shooting you have barely an consequences for doing so. I was murdered after killing a bandit. You think that is right and realistic?

Sad to see how many kids nowadays think that slaughtering people in real-life is normal. Such a sad job our parents and teachers are doing nowadays. I blame the left.
