I hear ya OP, and I understand your point. The bullshit ruins the emersion. But until they create a game that electrocutes you for being an asshole, your gonna be sad. Youre better off playing a single player game, this shit isnt for everyone.

This is the EXACT reason why I started a thread to help other players. Some join to learn, get geared up, and run of solo. Others stay on, group up, and fuck shit up. Let the other guy drop the soap, thats our motto.

I agree to you, i started to kill for fun just because all do the same to me and my friend. If any of my friend's in game, I start sniping from bushes, even if i have no need to loot.

I'm loggin on servers that shows names, so i can record DCers with fraps, giving an help to the community.

I hope that if everyone will do it (now they are the 80%) people will get bored of pvp and the focus on pve will be restablished.

At now, everyone kills everything... so, what is the point to be a good player, when the reward for this is nothing or a bullet in the head?

I guess games will only be that, games. If this was supposed to immerse you into a realistic situation where you had to survive in a zombie infested world and survive as humans it failed. In real life there is something called moral conflict (aka your conscious) where murdering someone isn't just a click away and thats it. But this is a game and ppl could care less about your life and how hard your try to make it. So sorry if i was supposed to take this game as how it was intended. Let the unjustified random killings continue without reason or logic. Its a game afterall right?

There are 2 ways to play the game :

1. If you don't care about gear or dying, you can just have fun trying to make contacts with other survivors, try to find friendlies, set up ingame shops/comunity stuff. You'll die often, but you can get some crazy experiences out of it.

2. If you care about your stuff and want to survive, then... assume everyones hostile. Don't try to communicate, at all. Be a shadow among the shadow, shoot anyone that gets in your way. Make the right decisions for your survival, but don't expect to meet any friendly along the way.

Playing 1. if you care about the gear will always bring frustrating moments.

But in the end you will always die, no matter how stealhy you are or how fast you aim. Deal with it.

This game imo was not made for the masses, so therefor the masses will complain. For me and most of my friends, this little mod is more fun than any AAA game that has been spewed out in the last four years and I havent laughed this much in a game with my buddies in years. The stupidity in this post amazes me. I mean it really does. Don't bother to read any of the other posts that explain the reasoning of my posts. If this were a real situation you would already be dead and you would have died alone.

I mean seriously, your in a zombie apocalypse and someone is going to kill you because you have a weapon? Does your logic say, "That guy has a weapon with dozens of zombies around him, he must be trying to kill me".

Btw, i didn't go towards him after he drove off. He got out of his vehicle after driving off and came after me. He hunted me after knowing i was there. I had already planned to loot the town and since the guy just drove off i proceeded. He knew i could have easily ended his life as he drove straight for me, but instead wanted to kill me because i had an m16 with lots of ammo.

This is bullshit' date=' had a character just get killed about a minute ago. Guy drove up next to me in a uaz, called out over voice that i was friendly and he drove off. Walking through the middle of town, next thing you know im blow to hell by god know what. Great, had tons of resources and ammo and made it all the way north.

Apparently there are no ppl that want to work together in this game, just kill each other. That completely breaks the game for me. I mean the pvp thing is for immersion right? In real life, ppl wouldn't just kill anyone who wasn't a zombie they saw. They would carefully approach them and make an evaluation. Nope not in this game, as soon as they see you, your dead. Could have easily killed this guy as he was driving straight for me. Guess ill just start shooting anyone on sight too? That is what this game has become, its not about zombies at all now. Just killing pvp, which completely ruins the point of playing to me.

Yes you have just confirmed that your lone wolf only approach is the only way to play the game unless you are friends before in-game. Proves the mechanics of game immersion are broken for this game. It is no more than a free for all deathmatch. And admit it, it is only a matter of time before a player just kills you for no reason or logic behind it. If you used your mentality in real life, you would be hopeless and dead. You know what, in game your doing it right because it is a game and ppl like to shoot things they cant in real life. But it comes down to real life situation, your dead within a day.

In real life, you may have a decent weapon but im the one in real life with military grade weapons and lots of them. I have a cousin who sells civilian ar-15 and owns tons of military weapons, don't doubt i would be just fine.

You just can't say what would happen in this situation.

Here's my thoughts : after the initial shock and seeing so many people die and eat each other, only few people would still think in a kind a "human" way. Most would kill themselves after losing all their families and friends. Others would maybe suffer from pyschotic disease and act like if it was a nightmare or an hallucination. Many would not feel anything anymore, or think anymore, and just let their instincts take over, this includes killing people, cannibalism, rapes, all kind of horrors people would do if the world collapsed and all hope was lost.

If you want to survive:

Run like an idiot when spawning, searching for:

1: Hatchet

2: Knife

3: Box of matches

4:water canteen

Kill every survivor on sight in the meanwhile.

Hide in a bush prone eating and drinking.

If you get bored you die.

If you found a weapon meanwhile, try to kill as many survivors you can with a easy shot so you'll probably find a sniper rifle to kill survivors for some fun.

Because this game isn't made to be fun (as Rocket says).

You just can't say what would happen in this situation.

Here's my thoughts : after the initial shock and seeing so many people die and eat each other, only few people would still think in a kind a "human" way. Ok, your thougts are somewhat logical but also not so much. Who has to say that all humanity is lost after an apocalypse? If there was no more humanity then what would be the point if even trying to survive? Yes instincts would come into play but humanity is always a part of you. We are humans, yes humans are animals but we have a much deeper thought process and a soul as i believe. If you lost your humanity you would essentially be brain-dead and nothing better than being a zombie. When does a person lose all emotional feeling? How can you say all this would be true? Watch to much "The Walking Dead" with shane? It is a show and who is to say how a human would react to such a situation. Have you been there? No then you cannot tell me how you would react.

It's a new group that basically takes new players and shows them the ropes, provides medical assistance, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

We're a friendly group with the goal of helping people learn what not to do. Once you've learned some things, you can decide to help more new people yourself so the cycle can continue.

It's sad that people aren't willing to be a little more tolerant of others in this game, but it just makes those friendly players that you do run into that much more rewarding and memorable.

I fully agree with the TS. In normal life every single human that was left would team up to have a better chance of survive.

This game is like the following:

1) Start at beach, rush supermarkets and barns for stuff, If you die, no problem you had nothing to lose. Start over rushing until you find decent gear.

2) Head to the north and loot militairy sites

3) Bored as hell, you simply start shooting other players because there is no other goal left.

The real goal in this game is: survive as long as can. This is plain easy. Get yourself a hatchet, matches, knife and a water bottle and set up a camp in the middle of nowhere near a lake and you are done, end of the game, you win. Simply drink now and then, eat now and then (by hunting) and nothing to worry about. You will reach 39485739485739458 days survived.

The problem is:

- There is no reward for players to help eachother

- The game gets boring once you are loaded with heavy hardware

- Zombies are to simple to avoid

- There is no score system

- Bandits cant be recognized

When i have heavy gear found at a heli crash site i will just shoot anyone instant if i do not know him. How should i know he is friendly? The minute i ask "Friendly?" he could answer my question with a headshot so why would i take the risk loosing everything?

I understand the TS. This game is about survival but atm this game is just PvP with some zombies around now and then. The zombies dont matter at all.

I only crawl, hide and avoid certain places because i know there are other players and they all will try to kill me. There is no reason for me to crawl etc. because of zombies -> they are simply to dumb and i won't find them in the deep forest anyways.

I said he sells those in large quantity. He has military weapons such as a few m16 and m4. He also has two barret rifles, m107 and the civilian version of the m85 bolt action. He has many others in his dedicated weapons room of his basement including an m2 browning. Guess this makes me more "badass" than you will ever be. Its just the way it is man, some will help you and some will not. Best to shoot on sight if htey dont answer you and even then there is a chance they will shoot you.

Team up with others and meet up and you might have a chance against those bandit types.

Also sometimes starting over in this game is for the better! A few times I have literally died on purpose just to start over. Sometimes it gets old with having one of the better guns in the game.

One of hte thigns that keeps bringin me back to this game is that starting over really is a ton of fun once I had a plan for everytime I died. Where to go first, what to get,etc..
