Pre-suggestion

 

I already say here that this is completely in the topic of dayz so it's nothing like crazy or off topic like picking chickens

and it's nothing that hard, I knew that in the 1.24 update some guns got more recoil than before but it doesn't have sense if a player can use a automatic rifle like nothing, the survivors aren't some military trained soldiers, I understand that the recoil is balanced but the survivors aren't balanced, if all the survivors were all ex-soldiers I would understand but how can a random person sustain the recoil of a BK-12,before the 1.00 the recoil of the bk 12 was so smooth and powerful,now it's like a Aug ax half burst.

 

Suggestion

 

Can you all add way more recoil on guns? I know that you all have no time and money to do that but the survivors aren't robots with the ability to sustain such recoils like nothing. 

Yea we controll them but the recoil is so chunky and firm, it feels like the survivors have robotic arms. 

I'm not requesting a new animations for the guns, just more recoil, i don't feel the panic when I try to shoot someone because the recoil is so easy to controll and I'm on ps5

please make the game harder, not easier, it will become more boring. 

I recently stopped playing dayz only because the recoil is so powerless in guns that I don't feel the sweat in my hands when repositioning the aim,it feels easy to shoot someone in the head.

Do you think it would be more realistic?

I recently watched some videos of people shooting all kinds of guns, and now I think the recoil we have currently may be somewhat realistic.

I used to think the .62 version was better with its intense recoil, but in a video of a woman shooting a mosin nagant, she didnt even twitch at all when shooting.

Its not the recoil that is the problem it is the camera, it is fixed to the gun. It looks stupid compared to .62

Actually I've got some bad news for your understanding of reality and world around:

1.True that survivor isn't a military specialist, but in US, Canada, Russia and many other countries (at least I guess) there's shooting ranges where you can get Full Auto assault rifle and shoot and that's bringing us to the second position.

2. If you can get full auto weapon - you can lean to control it in burst, full auto and semiauto modes. That means you have the soft-skill for education, that's allow you to reach better aiming, shooting and controlling quality. The win loves preparations and trainings! And it's working the same way like skill for creating the fire from nothing without matches and lighters.

If you wish make the game harder turn your screen or body - upsidedown.

Survivors in this game aren't random at all. Look at vanilla: they can jog pretty much indefinitely - try to replicate that feat irl. They're proficient with every possible gun and they kill like its nothing - no mental shock, no penalties, no trauma. They get hurt a lot and only grumble a bit even when moving around with broken bones. Use tools of various sorts with ease, everything is done fast and efficient. Even with us behind the wheel the potential is obvious. These are not normal people. Super soldiers at least.

They need to get rid of the hold breath mechanic. It’s ridiculous. Steady aim should be more complex. Different positions should allow for steadier aim, such as crouched and prone. Adding a way to rest guns on objects would also help the immersion of the game. The latter would take more work, but the first could be dealt with fairly quick I would think. I have never seen anyone experienced in firearms hold their breath like they do in this game. You have a natural pause at the top and bottom of your breathing pattern. That’s when you shoot.

I doubt the devs will change it because of console plebs. The gunplay made this game interesting now and it has now been tuned to suite deathmatch servers. The devs dont care about the any of the combat btw, thats why they have yet in the 6 years of full released even mentioned changing it.

But haven't you yet realized that this (beautiful, unfortunately) game is a very complex arcade that passes itself off as "realistic"... but that in reality it is just a very complex arcade that is becoming more and more "arcade FPS" ?!?
There's no point in complaining about a "realistic inaccuracy" when everything else is absurd, grotesque and out of all reality!
Just think about the consumption of materials, shoes, equipment... the infinite hunger of the puppet who seems to have a tapeworm in his stomach... and the impossibility (on purpose, unfortunately) of putting the curtains where they are needed (the curtain I need it in a deserted forest with uneven terrain, not on a road or in a square... Developers: have you ever been camping in the woods and NOT on a beach? Have you ever seen a tent pitched uphill ? and on bumps and ditchs?!? I assure you that in RL it is possible!!!), same thing with the fences... but also the management of the vehicles (which still don't work!!!) but think about your car: when you enter you don't the pockets or backpack disappear (which should be removed and placed on the back seats, not held on your back to go beyond the seat) and from the car you can drink, eat, shoot out the windows, lean out of the windows and shoot (many games do this , it's NOT impossible!), I'd light a cigarette and smoke, if one drives, the others can do maintenance on their weapons, take care of themselves, feed themselves... in RL it's NORMAL!!! In this game it is IMPOSSIBLE!!!
And many other things that don't come to mind right now.
I understand that an "unrealistic recoil" could be annoying, but... in the meantime I remember that DayZ should NOT be a "War FPS", but a complex game about "survival from a pandemic"... therefore the "realism of weapons " (although important anyway) should NOT be in first place... first there should be everything related to "survival"... hunting, fishing, makeshift constructions, repairs, recovery of materials and restoration of equipment, shelters, etc ...THAT should be the primary focus of the game developers' care...
However, I understand that even imperfect "weapon accuracy" can be annoying... but how serious can a "grain of sand in the eye" be when EVERYTHING else is moribund?
And the "doctors", instead of serious treatments, cyclically offer handbags, hats and theater masks?!?
My 5 cents.

Mate I can't agreed with you about breath control. As shooter from firearms, pneumatics and airsoft guns I can shure you breath comtrol is very important stuff in controling the firearm, better aiming technic, it works the same way as correct operation with the firearms trigger.

If you properly controlling breath circle, properly processing triger release (before and after the shot) you can increase the accuracy in dozen times, same as returning back the firearm after shoot's recoil that's increasing your readynes for next shot and allows you keep your shooting more accurate then without controlling of breath and other stuff.

Simply say if you think that you will shoot the same ways whn you shoot in prone, in standing and after 2 miles with gear about 30 kg or 28 ponds trust me there will be a huge differences in results!

So no, I'm not agreed with you point about breath holding.

But I can agreed with you about stamina understanding in the game. That's true that's stamina recovering too fast in the game then in real life and truth that shooters trying to make breath holding in fast way (more shorter way), but to be honest one way when you shooting in safe environment (shooting range) or even at the hunting when the bear or duck didn't get AK/M4 and will not send back 30 rounds in your direction, that's the main problem, same as I can agree with point that we have some kind of super solders in the game (the game needs the suppression mechanics for decreasing the accuracy and stamina when someone shooting in you)...

I honestly couldn’t make sense of what you are saying. You say you disagree and then describe breathing patterns. Not sure what you are on about.

Do you have experience with firearms or hard recoil pneumatic weapons?

If you are try next time use breathing control and compare the accuracy. That was the point not more and not less so mechanics is quite accurate to the real life. And it shows how will your hands will shaking when you are in rest state and when you are tired. Like am with gun in you hands and then pick on your back 20kg/20lbs sand for 30 minutes and try again aim and shoot you'll find that something had been changed and then you will able to find why breath controlling is in the game and why is it important for shooters.

I’m not arguing breath control. I’m saying nobody takes a deep breath and holds like this game represents. You shoot at the top or bottom of your breathing pattern. I don’t understand what we are in disagreement about. Maybe language barrier?
