For all you survivors out there that befriended a fellow survivor only to be SHOT after a seemingly friendly encounter, please NAME THEM HERE!

Why?:

Due to our limited supplies, a buddy (Redwulf) and I decided to hit the firestation in the town of Cherno. We played in a fairly unpopulated server, so we expected little resistance. When we finally arrived at the firestation, we were greeted by another player (MadMax) who cordially accepted my invite to search the nearby store while my buddy stood guard. Unfortunately he was shot in a matter of minutes, and Max and I scrambled to get back to the firestation. When I confronted the bandit (TortillaGamer) over voice chat, I asked him why he had shot him. He apologized and blamed his "supposedly" itchy trigger finger. After MadMax and I climbed up to the top of the tower where Tortilla was, we engaged in a good 10 minute long conversation. It was only after a few minutes of this seemingly friendly conversation that Tortilla decided to gun us down. He laughed as he left out mangled corpses.

I would love to see a list of players who do the backstabing to players.

The main problem is one- I belive players can change their names

2- people can just post fake or made up names or placeup player names who are not fit to be targeted.

It's sad that players can't bump into each other and work together, Most players try to stay away from each other due to lack of trust.

And then we have the players who just shoot other players as if it's a sport.

I know you are free to play the game as you can within the rules of the game world but I can't help to think what does this say about us a people?

I say no- it's an experiment. And we are the lab rats.

Are you gaming the game or is the game experimenting on you, human nature.

You get the impression that DayZ was a really interesting social experiment that's just gone horribly wrong because of people approaching it with a 'I'mma kill everyone mentality'. But perhaps that result speaks louder than words?

It's clear PvP is a BIG part of DayZ and is kinda the thing to do once you've mastered how to survive and get around. But it's gone beyond people looking for others to have battles

and skirmishes with. People just kill anybody, despite equipment, experience or even how friendly the player tries to be.

It's also interesting to note how many of these players snipe from a far, not having to be up close and personal when they do the deed.

But yes, I agree with the experiement side of it and the results DayZ shows. The scale of team work vs fighting is drastically out of balance.

If you rat somebody out, they can just create a new player profile in Arma2 and carry on as if nothing every happened. Naming them won't help you know who to trust until we have persistent character names.

Why?:

I met him in Polana Supermarket, he seemed really nice and was really helpful in getting me some tools and a backpack. Later we were running down to Electro to raid the firestation, we decided that I would head into the firestation (I had an AKM) while he would provide overwatch (he had a CZ550). Everything was clear and I managed to find a DMR and a Glock, once we met back up he asked if I had any spare food because he was hungry so I opened my gear menu and while I was getting the food he just shot me in the head. AVOID!!

I know DayZ does and will always have PvP option but it's not the DayZ game's fault for all the PvPing....

It's the player's fault for deciding to make the game into a overly heavy PvP game. Players could easily get past the PvPers and still push for a game of team work. But the Players are the one's with the power.

Those who say I must shoot first before they shoot me is the player entering their Frame/view of the game. If players decided to not accept this and still look to team up. We would see more of this and also a growing trend of players who will find out who these players who simply kill for fun and they will be hunted down by bands of team based teams.

The outcome of the so called Deathmatches happening in Dayz is not the Game's fault but the Players. We can be like lemmings or say fine,..kill me but I will always try to team up and show that this game can be more enjoyable with sharing exciting moments with others.

I have never killed a player. I always try to team up. I have given blood transfusions with a player before. I have been killed by other players. Other players can kill me all they want but i will not change my play style. I will take that bullet and respawn and get back up and help other players. I will defend other players from hostile ones. I will not let this shoot first mentality to corrupt me. I will always be Friendly even if it get me killed. This is who i am...

Hmm, im an arse on this game, Like im the reason you're a fucking horrible person to everyone you meet now.

I had literally just logged into the game, and a guy was helping me with the controls i found a gun and swiftly shot him in the face and took his things, now i knew the controls and the basics he was just added weight, my ingame tag is Authentic, i look forward to meeting you :)

Also, i got extremely lucky and looted a Ghille Suit, a sniper (DMR), Saw a noob trying to escape the zombies in cherno, shot him aswell, did not need anything he had, but i shot him none the less.

Hate me, ill feed on it :)

Edit, I wrote this response as someone earlier asked what it is like for the people been the dickheads on the game, Well, It's fucking awsome for me, you should try it.

Actually, im not a dickhead in real life, im sure many people i know will say i am but then again i would probably say they're also but no i do not go around kicking Homeless people, i would probably give them some change if anything or buy them something from greggs, im quite humble for a 20year old male. But again i read these forum's for around a week before i actually played DayZ and everyone always said trust no one, so i built my whole "Im going to fuck your character up every chance i get" attitude from reading the forums.

The way you are acting in the game is the way you wish to behave in real life. You deep down enjoy seeing others in pain, wither this is due to anger on what others did to you or your a person who enjoys kicking puppies.

I would never want to know you in real life.

You prob need to look into this sadistic behavior.

I sense no remorse and you feed on others pain.
