Yeah, Steam is shitty at times. But you can only get Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead (Or Arma 2 Combined Operations which includes the two games and their expansions) from Steam, it's probably near impossible to find retail copies of the game now.

Idk if he is foreign and doesnt know english or hes a 12 year old trying to hide to badly, but either way, i think he should get the game, sure he might annoy people on the forums but thats what moderators are for, and while he is in game he will likely find some amazing find like 14 heli crash sites, not know what they are or what they do, and then all the cool people will follow him to them and kill him, he will rage and we will get good gear, its a win win!

Goggle Steam, download it, make a profile, install it, log on, go to store tab in top left, search Arma 2, click on Arma 2 Free, download and install that, go back to Store Tab, Search Arma 2, buy operation Arrowhead and install it, go to the main site here, download the files, go to Steam/Steamapps/common/Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead make a folder called Addons inside that folder make a folder called @Dayz then put those files in there, there are a few more kinks you will have to google on your own, cant give you all the answers so get researching, plus if you manage to follow these instructions without needing help and can finish the last 2-3 things left to do on your own, it will prove your not a 12 year old, and just a pussy.
