ChunkyTomato (DayZ)

It's a russian militarised map, not necessarily a part of Russia, but it's got a lot of Russian gear. I figured the beret could be a nice addition. Berets aren't also restricted mostly to SF guys, in Australia we have blue berets that our Air force guys use. I'm well aware wikipedia isn't correct, but I'm almost certain the only coloured berets that are restricted to SF are Red, Green and Tan / Sandy colours. Not 100% sure about red.

Just suggesting the idea of a new hat - Berets. Could be a nice little addition to fit the russian militarised map.

You may have had a hacker on your server that managed to modify your speed / health / etc (Those kinds of variables) and Battleye picked it up.

NO A scriptkiddie is someone that downloads a program that they have not created to harm some form of network or system (Example - a business) without knowing the repercussions or how to hide themselves from detection and use the programs in an attempt to impress their friends or get some sort of respect from someone. They're also generally younger individuals... Then you have your general hacker. They're just faggots. Therefore, they are not a scriptkiddie but a hacker. And also faggots. I'm the party pooper for people like you. I understand you're not complaining, but you are complaining in an indirect way. (Contradiction win) To sum everything up, this isn't going to happen. You're not going to bend the will of the devs to replace them. It's part of the mod, and it forever will be. Don't like it? Find a private hive server or make your own and ban the weapons. Don't bitch about it on the forums and try and have them removed entirely from the base mod. Implying you can modify it your way if you get your own server I think. It doesn't unbalance the game, it adds another fear factor right next to other bandits and zombies. If you're sick of being killed, harden the fuck up and welcome to DayZ motherfucker - You're destined to die. Oh and for the faggots that cry "BUH I GET KILLED EVERY TIME ON THE COAST I HATE IT MAKES ME ANGRY WAAAH" perhaps take a different approach? Enter smaller towns or go in land if you can get your hands on a pistol. Go around, find shit. Don't take the same tactic over and over.

Today. I played for the first time in approximately many months. I came back, and I was killed by a hacker. Determined that he was gone (Which he was), I set out to play as a new person. I ran into the Airfield, where a lot of people were at. I met a guy called SpringfieldXD. I followed him around, before we started to talk to each other. We set off to Cherno together. When we arrived, we were greeted by someone's M16. We managed to survive, though. We continued, but I lost him to desync and he vanished. I thought all was lost. However, we found each other again, and he had a Makarov. We continued, and ran into the tents, but I lost him again. From here, I thought that I wouldn't have any luck finding him again, but I saw him... I chased him down, but lost him. I searched the tents and gained a lot of medical supplies and an M9. I began to walk around Cherno saying 'Springfield, you there?' After no luck, I headed back into the middle of the city before I heard the rifle I had been hearing earlier with Springfield, and an AK. I looked to the bottom of my screen after the gunshots were over to see 'SpringfieldXD died.' I was determined to avenge him, and chased down the killer. Before I could arrive, a hacker teleported us under the map, played music and watched us plumet to our deaths. The entire server, wiped out in a second. Springfield, I hope you see this. I want to play with you more often.

Alright, I'll do that if I die. Right now I've just run around the coast helping new players and killing bandits since killing a bandit did give me + humanity. I'll keep in mind the blood bags, morphine and just generally medical equipment.

So I guess no one can help me?

Hey there survivors, bandits and heroes. I've recently started playing DayZ again and noticed that a humanity counter was put back in. Since I've started playing again, I want to help other players. I've even offered some neat gear to new players, but most of them end up trying to kill me. Before I had a few month break, I was a bandit in a large group. We managed to rack up a lot of kills, and my humanity is now -6300ish. I heard that humanity slowly resets itself to 2500 overtime, but mine hasn't done anything. I hate that I have a horrible humanity as well, and I'm still unsure on whether or not it resets if you are killed / you die. If someone could enlighten me on how to get my humanity back quickly, that'd be awesome. It's probably not a settling sight to see someone in a ghillie suit, especially when their heart is on the edge of failure...

It's no longer a one shot kill. Lots of guns were nerfed in 1.7.2.4 and / or the newest beta patch.

Agreed. Just to let you know, I posted this thread for shits and gigs, guess I can take it serious now, since I'm seeing serious responses. :'(

I know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about stupid suggestions like 'Cryengine 3 hurdur' and 'add parkour' and shit like that. Beyond that, there's not much else I can say.

Don't post stupid suggestions. DayZ is a mod for Arma 2. Rocket and his team can't make huge changes. Thankyou.

Clearly... Holy crap your reaction made me laugh. I still can't quite tell if you're being serious though. Yeah, Steam is shitty at times. But you can only get Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead (Or Arma 2 Combined Operations which includes the two games and their expansions) from Steam, it's probably near impossible to find retail copies of the game now.
