Fix Lag Spikes, Frame Rate Drops & Rubber Banding.

Recommended Posts

I just had the worst engagement in Day Z.

WTF! Me and another survivor crossed paths and the LAG went thru the roof. I could barely aim my pistol. I pulled the trigger and zombies came from everywhere. I ran into a garage and closed the door but Zombies were hitting me thru the damn wall and I was stuck to the wall.

Was knocked unconscious and woke up outside, but then ran into the garage again and my UMP was inside.

I died because of the lag, frame rate drop, rubber-banding and the inability to close my cuts.

Optimize this fucking game already, use the newer and better game engine ffs.

On which platform are you playing?

If on last gen consoles I don't think there is much that can be done tbh, old consoles were underpowered on day 1 of their release.
If on PC make sure your PC is up to par.

Maybe they could optimize the game further but tbh it runs fine for me on 2600x/RX580/16gb DDR4/SSD.

Xbox One X.

Frame-rates, lag, rubber-banding terrible draw distance detail and pop-ins galore.

Been trying to buy a Series X…

So pretty much outdated then, got an SSD in it already?
They might be able to optimize the game a bit, but... it's subpar hardware nowadays. OFC I'm not giving them excuses, they released the game on consoles and it's expected to run properly, so that's fault on their part.

Well, they also circumvented the entire survival gameplay loop for consoles, IMO, because you can just make an unlimited number of accounts.  Thus making permadeath trivial because now you have unlimited offline storage.  I'm sure this wasn't a big discussion point during sales negotiations with Spanel + Microsoft/Sony, however.

We can make "unlimited accounts" on PS4? ...Are you talking about paying an annual fee for multiple PS Now / PS Plus accounts?

Of course, you neglect to mention that each of those accounts would have had to play the game, as it was meant to be played, to accumulate the items they are storing offline... dying and respawing as a freshie is literally no different to starting a new account and spawning as a freshie. If you're worried about one user being able to swap items between their multiple accounts, well that's no different than a group of friends doing the same in real time. Well, apart from the fact it's more time consuming and unrewarding.

One of my friends has 22 Xbox live accounts and characters. I don’t, one gamer tag for Xbox and one character.

The issue is players dying on a firefight and then coming back a minute later with a fully geared alt account. I don't really have any issue with someone having a second account if it's for social reasons. I used to have a solo character and another one I played with a friend on. I can even live with someone having an alt for storing gear on at least this doesn't affect loot tables. But multiple characters to instantly return after death fully geared, no matter how they got the gear, is nothing short of cheating.

10 people fully geared log out at same place. One logs in. You kill them. They tell their friends who all log in and kill you. You stood no chance.

1 player logs multiple fully geared characters out at same place. One logs in. You kill them. They log in another id and kill you. You stood a fighting chance.
