Amp4hilyon 3 Posted October 24, 2021 (edited) the stashed wooden crates in woods isnt an 100% secure option and from time to time some1 will find our stash, so i get an idea already what do u think about stashing the wooden crates somewhere in the good hidden spot with not must have items in them (i mean no rare guns, attachements, ammo etc) and then burry the real ones good loot under the wooden crates which can be dropped in a like 3-4 in a single place to be over our TRUE stashed gear under it ^^ what do u think about it ? is it works ? cuz i think its not common to picking up the founded wooden crates in the woods to verify if there is something hidden under it and if we see dat some1 was in our hidden stash and grab and stole some stuff from it we will get now a signal dat some1 know about our stashed wooden crates BUT NOT about our HIDDEN loot under it ^^ does it works like a second chance alarm ? 😄 PS: the point of this post is not about hiding the whole stuff under the ground (burry) cuz im not a fan of roaming the whole map to the buried gear only to pick it up and hide again to get the interactions with it to stop the dissapear (14 days time), its sooo boring and frustrating while we have to run over the stashes for a day or 2 only to interact with it and i hate this, so i prefer at most just to hide the wooden crates in woods (45 days time) and burry maybe only really special value loot, like a for example full NBC gear and stuff to get trough the Static Zones Edited October 24, 2021 by Amp4hilyon Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I don’t believe the average DayZ player is as thorough or cerebral as @McWendy in taking that extra step. edit: For it to have the highest chance to work, the crates have to appear unorganized, as though they were not arranged for the specific purpose you are intending to use them for. My best advice to you is to split your loot into multiple caches in several different locations. TheYetiBum 790 Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) Yep any barrel, crate or tent is getting moved to check for stashes. Especially in bases. I even used to chop all the surrounding trees down for back when people would stash under a tree so that when it respawns its completely hidden. Used to be loads of places you could stash stuff & it was impossible to see, like under radio towers & certain areas of concrete. The best was sticking a green barrel in those umbrella shaped trees, but they patched it so that barrel wouldnt sit up in the tree branch's anymore, sad day for me.
