Lack of Food

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else seem to think that there is a quite bad lack of food to loot? On three separate occasions I had multiple guns but died simply because I couldn't find food and/or water.

Yep less food spawns on the coast now, but more in land. Also seems like animal spawns have been turned up, plus fruit trees spawn super fast now when your in proximity to them so its always worth checking them. But I've found if you kill any animals you find and eat them as you go, you'll be fine. I can imagine travelling as a group as freshies from the coast will be harder though if sharing food sources

The game can be harsh at times.  Which is good.  To be honest,  I don't think that the vanilla experience needs to have as much food on infected.  Maybe have zeds drop human flesh instead of cans of food. Or maybe have them drop grenades instead of food.  I'd be alright with that plztks.

It seems to me that fresh food becomes more abundant the less you need it. I don't think it's coded that way but as you progress through the game and are better stocked you're more likely to hang around around in one place as opposed to frantically running around as a freshie. When you do this you notice shrooms and fruit spawn constantly in large numbers all around you.
