SINGLEPLAYER MODE

Recommended Posts

You have to implement more modes and the singleplayer mode is essential for this type of game, to have fun alone just surviving LEARNING to play, for novice players this will be a big deal, I was even downloading the singleplayer mod for some alternative sites I think I can say it would be a pirate dayz, even if I have the original game, this is what you have to do if you want to play alone, I think nothing more fair than that you put a singleplayer mode in the original game would help a lot..

One option is to download DayZ Server from the Tools menu in Steam and setup a server on your PC, assuming it is powerful enough to run the client and server on the same box.

You could also join an empty server -- no guarantee it would stay empty of course.

That's honestly how I learned, I made a little server and learned the ins and outs of how to play and how to build and how not to jump off a police building trying to get a little higher of a vantage point.

Arkensor has a community offline mode you can install. You spawn with equipment though and i dont know how to save. It's important to watch a lot of tutorials (Wobo), just learn on full servers like the cool kids!!!!

What at least I wanted from offline mode was not to play alone, but the stability of the game made on top of offline, your character and your synchronization to run on your machine and not on the server, (it would be nice to have an offline always there without wipe a retired war veteran by killing zombies and surviving in the lonely world).

Again, rent a server with minimum slots and play. You will get everything vanilla, you can have a few people join you and the performance will be good, as long as everyone has decent connection. There will be no wipes, only your mistakes.

Don't even need to rent one. Unless you are on a potato system you can run a local server on your gaming PC and play on it without ever having any issues. With a strongish rig you can even allow a few people on it should you want, and you can pick and choose mods from the Workshop to your heart's content to make it exactly how you want it. There is simply no need for a single player mode - and devs have been clear that there never will be one.

man... it's yours, okay? I already have a server, actually 3, I don't want it I want the game's sync with the world to improve

yes, at the time of the comment i imagined that if they made the basis of the singleplayer game for some reason the cars would stop bugging because the world connection is not streamed, and only the sync of the players is transmitted.
