What does the alcohol tincture currently do in 1.10 DayZ?

Thanks for the response! I just tested it out on some damaged rags, but it didn't bring them to worn, it left them at damaged. I tried twice.

They wont repair by using alcohol. But with damaged rags you can/could get An infection. The alcohol prevents that infection.

I'm not actually sure you can get infected from dirty rags. You certainly used to, but I haven't sterilised rags in a long time and never had infection. I wonder if this is either a small chance or just taken out.

I'm pretty sure it was taken out shortly after being put in because too many people complained about it.  I think the intention is that a certain percentage of dirty rags will give you infection requiring tincture, but unless it's coming back with 1.11, I don't think dirty rags do anything bad to you at the moment.

Yeah, I guessed as much. Hope it gets brought back.
