Is there a Doctor in the house?

Recommended Posts

Doc, will I ever run again?

or are my dreams of playing in the post apocalyptic NFL (where they don't kneel like they do when they're blowing the owner) gone forever?

My leg just hasn't been the same since that splint came off.

Kuru giggles and a permanent limp..  it does sound like he needs to be taken out to the pasture.

I don't understand the point of the splint if you can't recover from your injury.  I guess it let me limp back to where I could save my stuff.   Now I need to figure out how to blow my brains out.

And while we are talking about Kuru.  I was starving to death and ran across two human meat steaks, not brains.   I ate them, and in less than a day I was giggling like a fool.  By most Doctor's estimations it takes more than 10 years for Kuru to develop.   Sometimes MUCH longer.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12094094/

'Collinge and colleagues attempted to characterize the incubation period of Kuru by studying cases identified between 1996 and 2004. They argue that the ritual of cannibalism was virtually eliminated by 1960, so that cases appearing in the study period would have a prolonged minimum incubation period. Eleven cases were identified in the study period, all born well before 1960. The minimum incubation period for these cases ranged from 34-41 years, with a likely incubation period of 39-55 years.'

But hey, its just a game right.
