    Stable Update 1.17

I think he means servers that are run on Linux, not players on Linux.

  3. Might be a stretch, but they might mean "fatigue" aside from general stamina.
  4. I'm probably not gonna retract my suggestion (to the sUrPrIsE of a few), but rather add on to it. We can have the directional hit indicators, but have them only for the more casual, 3PP servers (or even PVP servers), to at least help casuals/newbies get into the groove (if they're willing to commit to more hardcore gameplay in the future). Hardcore servers don't provide a crosshair for starters anyway, might as well have the hits register in casual/PVP servers, then. Hardcore isn't the only way people play DayZ, children. That's mainly how the game has managed to keep the community it currently has: variety in choice.
  5. Personally, I'd have the directional blood splatters be replaced with something that works along with the vignette change, maybe even have more vignette be applied to whichever direction you got shot/hit from. Have it be subtle, but noticeable to the very trained eye. And as the latter post says in helpthedeadwalk's post, "it's not a bad idea, but rather a poor execution." As always, the community can help build onto that idea! 😊
  6. Sawed-off LE-MAS? Whoever created that, I want to have what they were having.
  7. And I'd hate to think that the decision to make suppressors and weapons less durable was a simple of a decision as a random dice roll. Yesterday's comment by Impulz is so far the best of reasoning we have currently, not to mention the openness to further tweaks. Again, use of suppressors should be just a choice out of many other viable choices, not a rule of life. We're getting melee weapons capable of stealth kills (hopefully more variety rolls in with time) as well. So what's not to like?
  8. Well, in that case we can have everything that weathers be 10x more durable. I think there's already servers for people that cater to this. In all seriousness, this sort of boost is gonna start hurting general gameplay balance in terms of the vanilla aspect. And as you already added, finding the perfect balance is nigh-on impossible. lol but who cares about balance amirite ??
  9. Whatever change in values the devs make (it being for the better or for worse, is HIGHLY subjective), it's still going to be a case of "damned if they do, damned if they don't". I think we've already seen enough times that finding balances is plenty hard. Average gamer isn't really willing to understand this, they just want what's good for them and disregard what others think. Still, we can always try...

    Experimental Update 1.13 (Changelog)

I take it that this is all in terms of content that 1.13 has to offer, and rest of the updates to this are mainly bugfixes and changes, much like last update?

    DayZ | 55 QoL suggestions | Part 2

I can see the disease indicator actually working, BUT only if there's proper separation of 3PP softcore and 1PP hardcore playstyles, whenever that might be, with former getting the indicators for a more casual/learning experience. Speaking of which, I still think that casual and hardcore modes should be a lot more differentiated apart from a simple viewpoint. Now yes, it's gonna split the playerbase, but it will at least help with player numbers in general, not to mention people can transition from one to the other whenever they want. At the end of the day, DayZ is a game, not a lifestyle, no matter how much you might try to funny it up.
  12. I can imagine seeing more dedicated slots and less free slots for clothing being a very much viable future point of development. "Canvasing", if you will.
  13. DayZ is already a niche-filling game, vanilla/vanillafeel community servers are even more of a niche.
  14. I wonder if we'll be able to make makeshift suppressors out of old cans as well at some point, regarding the focus on stealth elements... And, for the topic of whine-meta, bows as well.
