People are tougher than this...

I don't know about you, but I don't bleed out after receiving a blunt force wound from an emaciated walking corpse, nor do I break a leg after I get slapped once or twice. Sure, after maybe the 10th hit, you should start bleeding, and if you are in real bad shape (5000 or less blood) you should have a greater chance of breaking a leg, but I can't even count the number of times I've gotten a broken leg at 12k blood and bleeding 3 times out of the 4 times i had been struck. Honestly, realistic does not mean hard, necessarily.

Suggestion-make broken legs fairly uncommon(5% chance at >5000 blood, 12% at <5000?) and bleeding get more unlikely as you lose blood(which would actually be realistic since a person with high BP would bleed more readily than one with low BP). Also, bullets knocking someone unconscious? Immediately?

As for the leg-breaking thing, I think you will be pleased if you read the patch notes for the upcoming 1.7.2

They are in the announcement forum in their own thread.

Rocket is sadistic though so do not expect no broken legs anymore. ;)

I actually think it is fine as is. I never break anything, not after I learned not to crawl through doorways. As for the infected, just don't let them get close. This takes a lot of sneaking though which may not suit everyones playstyle, but nothing does. That's why there are different games out there, no?

I've had my legs broken by jumping off a 5-10 foot ledge in DayZ. People are indeed far tougher.

The unconscious thing is actually usefull to use on groups if you are solo. With this tactic, some guy managed to sweep our entire group (4 people) and stealing our pickup truck and skoda today :P. He must be nearby though, can't have crossed the map in that time back and forth.

I feel like the whole getting knocked out by bullets thing is more to simulate you not being able to run around completely fine a la CoD/BF/Every shooter ever after being shot. It's possible to stay standing after being shot by smaller weaponry, but if you got hit by a larger weapon, you're gonna go down and you probably won't be doing a lot of moving, hence why you get knocked out.

I got a broken leg, knocked unconcious for about 2 minutes, bleed AND a concussion for trying to press "V" over one of those anti-tank barricades that some considerate prick had left in a doorway.

True, but you could probably maintain a level of consciousness to slap a bandaid on your wound =)

1) The zeds in this game aren't "emaciated walking corpses". They're completely healthy humans outside of the infection which has robbed their proper senses and rendered them irrationally violent towards anyone uninfected.

2) Who's to say that it's all "blunt force wounds"? They can't slash and claw at you in their attacks?

3) People can stop bitching about legs breaking too often. It's already been addressed and fixed for the next patch update.

4) Have you ever been shot by a high-powered weapon? How can you be so certain that the force of it wouldn't knock you on your ass for a few seconds?

Potentially, although honestly I feel that if I were shot I'd spend more time desperately clutching at my new hole than applying a combat dressing. Not saying it's not possible, but chances are if you've been knocked down by a round then another one won't be far behind it, not to mention the difficulties in how the game handles this state. Either way, whether or not you're conscious won't really matter.

I also forgot to mention in my last post, the infected likely aren't just open hand slapping you. It doesn't take a whole lot to cause an open wound that requires a bandage to prevent continued bleeding. Frenzied clawing from a being with zero sense of self preservation (beyond feeding) would probably be included in those things.
