Do you agree with modding in SA?

I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to mods - I just don't want to deal with the annoying version inconsistencies etc. If modding were simple and easy to apply like with Steam Workshop access then yeah, I'm for it.

Every server right is in night time?

There's hundreds. Usually outlined in the server title...

    Rolling Update Rev. 0.30.114008

Rocket has been on holidays and I hear returns to work this week. Let's hope this means a few significant updates in the pipeline :)
  4. Currently to reload a clip with individual bullets you have to remove it from the weapon and place it a spare space within your inventory. You then drag the bullets onto the clip. You should ALSO be able to put the clip in your hands and then simply drag the bullets onto the clip as normal.. negating the need to place the clip in your backpack or a pocket first. This makes sense to me, after all you would be holding the clip while you reloaded it...
  5. I sincerely hope that the income the standalone has generated goes directly into development of DayZ and DayZ only. I like the Arma series and some of the other niche Bohemian titles, but here is the chance to go mainstream and earn serious money and recognition. Let's hope DayZ is given the resources it needs to be fully realised... :)

    Is this game dying?

Lol, just because you didn't specifically pay for DayZ doesn't NOT make it a game... The only thing that separates a 'mod' from a regular game is that it's not standalone - it still needs the host game to run. A 'mod' and a 'game' are not two completely different things, but more like a different game from an existing game... Team Fortress and Counterstrike were originally mods of Half-Life... DayZ is a mod of Arma2 So, by your rationale, Rocket started with an idea such as "lets make a hardcore zombie-themed survival sim" He modified Arma2 and the game of DayZ was born. As I said, DayZ is a mod, yes, but it's still a GAME. Mod / game / game / mod. In this case, It's all the same.

    Is this game dying?

Are you really that foolish? This mod IS A GAME. What else do you think it is? Don't kid yourself - whatever it is you think you're PLAYING is still a GAME no matter what you call it... And for the record, I don't give a shit about my 'stuff'. I've been playing DayZ since the beginning and I have had, and I have lost everything you can get many many times... I'm not going to clarify again what my original post was asking.

    Is this game dying?

Lol.. speaking of wasting forum traffic. I never stated that the game is dying, I was asking what is going on. I will assume you can't read. I also outlined 4 points that made me ask the question in the first place. You answered none of these. Before you start being a tool, understand I love DayZ and in no way do I want to see it die - but I have noticed a significant dropoff in players in the last 2-3 weeks. Hence why I asked the question. Hope you don't get too upset.
  9. Seems to me this game is slowly withering away... Most of the servers I frequent are now less than 1/4 full at peak times when 2 weeks ago they were full 24/7. The servers where I have my hidden camps are apparently shutting down in 3 weeks... Some of the other servers have simply not bothered updating to the latest version. Not much buzz around the interwebs anymore.. Could it be the lull before the standalone? What's going on?

we'll call them ninja zeds or the drop bear zeds.

I like the idea of things in the trees in forests at night...

    The Shit Sync System

Not even slightly amusing. Troll better next time.

    Finaly a use for Crowbars

I agree that the crowbar is essentially useless, but making it a starting weapon? No. The search for a weapon is a big part of DayZ, and giving players some sort of "peace of mind" with any sort of free starting weapon removes a lot of the essential feeling that DayZ creates. Maybe have ammo crates or something with extra loot that can only be opened wit a crowbar...?

Skalisty Island - Sanctuary and Trading Post

Thanks for the suggestion, and the extensive list of suggestions that are not what I suggested. Read most of the "Rocket Said" manifesto, all of that "people creating stuff" is incredibly hard with an average of 42 players on servers and not much persistence. Add to that the buggy interactions, dropouts, schizo GUI, and the fact that most of those players are grouping only to kill other players and it's completely impossible in its current state. Personal attack? Not at all, merely a fitting description based on your initial pretentious argument. Again, if you don't like somebody suggesting stuff IN A SUGGESTIONS FORUM, maybe you should do as you said, abandon it. After all, nobody will suggest anything else of value.. nothing that your obviously extremely-talented game-designer mind sees fit anyhow. Because its clear that you do know what is best for DayZ.

Skalisty Island - Sanctuary and Trading Post

Good, if you aren't open to suggestions then F off, nobody will miss you. This is a SUGGESTIONS forum, it is a place for people like me, to propose SUGGESTIONS.. get it? I'm not stating that this is exactly how the game should be, I'm merely offering things that I as a player would like to see... something that would add to my experience. Since you are clearly so self-righteous and know which direction this game should go why don't you phone Rocket and propose to lead the ship yourself? Or at least elaborate why this "sort of crap" is clearly twisting your panties... I'm sick of dicks like you flaming people with an honest SUGGESTION and dismissing them totally without any f*cking rhyme or reason. Leave the game exactly as it is and watch it get stale quickly, watch some other dev make a clone that's better and then watch the player base shrink into nothing. Have fun with you and your 3 mates (that's if you have any with your obviously lacking social skills) running around in your ghillies shooting nothing but pigs and rabbits. sug·ges·tion noun 1. the act of suggesting. 2. the state of being suggested. 3. a slight trace: He speaks with a suggestion of a foreign accent. 4. the calling up in the mind of one idea by another by virtue of some association or of some natural connection between the ideas.
