Jacob Tejada 0 Posted August 18, 2020 Ok so, I'm very new to the day z field. Like VERY new. I do love them game watched some videos about it when it was first standalone, now this amazing game is difficult for.. Someone in my field of life.. I am not rich and I don't live in a fancy house, where I live I have such a little chance to get GOOD internet.. I did have Xfinity and this wouldn't be a problem, but.. I sadly moved to a more.. Rural area so my choices of WiFi aren't the greatest. I currently use a provider called hugs net and.. It's not the greatest I get 25mbs and I'm disgusted about even choosing this as a provider, but let me not get off track on why I'm posting this. I am posting this as a thought to help people in my situation who don't have the greatest provider, maybe.. Just maybe add a single player? I understand that what I said is like asking you to give me a massive tank so I can run over the undead but, it would be an amazing feature to allow players who are new to play at their own pace and learn by themselves on what to do and what weapons are within the game if you understand. I am ok with people getting mad at me for attempting to play a game that depends heavily on PvP kills and action fun but.. Once again I would be enthusiastic to know if a single player option could become a thing? P.S. to anyone who says I should get better internet trust me, I've attempted to but no provider will come to where I residet to give me greater WiFi

Parazight 1599 Posted August 18, 2020 Maybe you should consider setting up your own server.
Derleth 1357 Posted August 18, 2020 (edited) Yeah, download the server files and setup a LAN server on the same computer you play on. It is "offline" without being offline, completely lag free - and when you've gotten more familiar with it you can start messing with the server files and install mods if you want. Setting up the server is actually really simple, check youtube and/or make a forum search here to find the exact steps. Edit: here's a simple vid: And here's a web page with the same info. Note that you don't need to open ports unless you want other players to have access to the server or, if you want to play with a small group of friends for example, you can open the ports and have a password to avoid randoms to enter the server.
