Sometimes i get lucky and find an aksu! Also got a fal recently on a chopper crash on 1pp public. two months ago i got a vss on another chopper crash on 1pp public. I guess you have to be lucky at a chopper crash to get cool stuff, i like how rare these cool guns are makes them more special.

Down load a Dayz map app. IZurvive or central for dayz. The map shows heli crashes. Takes time to find them but i found my 2 m4's 3 viagas, 2 ump45 at them. No luck on Ak's there but the 4 i have came from other ppls bases or stashes. If you explore the map you'll find something eventually.

Update. My character is in the north west to western part of the map. Each time i log on i do my chopper crash route. In the last week i found 2 m4s and 2 ump45. Not to mention the 2 viagas, gullie shrug and cloak. I like i said download an app and start searching. They'll come to you. One other thing is to get on a pvp community server that way you know how to use it. I go to "!clayinkyoutube" its usually on the 12th page on the community server list. Best part is, you wont lose your location spot when you switch back to the offical server you last played on. God speed.

What do you mean by not "losing your locations spot" when switching from private servers to public servers?

It should be separate characters so taking them from public to private (or the other way around) should not be possible.

I have the app and I see the locations. But without a car or other people to run with it gets old. Like I soar I’ve been running with someone for month or 2 and going all bases in a loop looking for crashes just never found any. 😞😢.

West sides best for Heli crashes. I found 2 today & got 2 VSS's. Not a great gun but shreds armour as an up close destroyer. Unfortunately M4's & AKM's wont spawn on most servers at military bases as 2 many are stashed on the server. Wait a week or two for all those stashed crates to de-spawn from all the people stashing unnecessarily then never playing the game again.

1.08 changed there de-spawn timer thank god & upped there nail cost.

go to persistence off servers hunt heli crashes I promise you will find high tier weapons. I have an m4 and VSD from them right now. Also my wife found two m4's yesterday at NWAF on persistence off which I didn't even know was possible, I thought they only came from helis until yesterday. as far as persistence on I have only found one AKM at a heli in like 6 months, so your odds are a lot better on persistence off...hope this helps!
