It has either crashed and burned, or inbetween where you started your journey (point a), and got the no message recieved (point b).

If it was a "pure" server crash it should stand in the position where it was when the server crashed or slightly earlier. If there was some network desync leading up to the crash it might have crashed and burned (without you seeing it happen) before the server process actually died, and then been cleaned at the restart - so lost forever.

When the server restarts, it often rolls your character back a minute or so. It won’t move the car back, though. That SHOULD be in the same area you last had it. This means, you have to run ahead to catch up with it.
