bent.toe 529 Posted July 25, 2019 @ImpulZ Now that we console players are getting private server (good job BI) it would be nice to have a few more admin settings. Especially for us that maybe just want to PVE but also for pvp. These are the extended admin settings i would like to see for console rented servers: PVE: Pickable player spawns (can choose from Chernarus cities and villages) for example, on a 10 slot server: Every player slots should have a drop down menu of all cities and villages to choose spawn. Player 1. Gorka Player 2. Gorka Player 3. Gorka Player 4. Gorka Player 5. Gorka And so on... This way you can have all players on the server spawn together for a zombie killing PVE evening. The second admin setting is x amount of zombies and the ability to pick cities/villages with a drop down menu: City. Number of infected Chernogorsk 40 Gorka. 5 NWAF. 80 PVP: Same for a PVP setting where we can set up matches and clan wars, for example: Team 1 armband colour city/village Player 1 Red armband Gorka Player 2 Red armband Gorka Player 3 Red armband Gorka Player 4 Red armband Gorka Team 2 armband colour city/village Player 1 Blue armband Dubrovka Player 2 Blue armband Dubrovka Player 3 Blue armband Dubrovka Player 4 Blue armband Dubrovka With pvp there should also be three more admin settings, first being a count down timer after the settings are done and the server starts (to get all players on the server) so once the server is up, it's 10 minutes for everyone to join until they spawn and we can start fighting. The second setting should be spawnable weapons, gear, food etc. Again, drop down menu: City/Village Pistols SMG AR Rifles Gorka Yes No No Yes Dubrovka Yes No No Yes And third setting being is how the match ends, either by team wipe or by timer. We as console owners would appreciate a few more admin settings to get some what closer to the awesome scenarios and all the fun modifications the PC players enjoy on a daily basis. Thanks. drgullen 596 Posted July 25, 2019 On a PVP server, sure, I'm with you, it's a cool idea to spawn back in with your group to continue the battle. In regular DayZ though, you should definitely not be able to choose your spawn. The original idea of DayZ is paying a steep consequence for dying -- it's the apocalypse, it's supposed to be hard, not easy. You might have spent hours gearing up a character, only to poke your head out from a bush to survey one of the towns and get one-tapped and the "You are dead" screen before you even know where the shot came from. After that, you respawn back along the coast somewhere. I get that you're thinking of it in terms of wanting to be able to spawn near your friends, but consider the scenario where there happens to be a bunch of players in the town near "Spawn #8 - Gorka" for example. Can you not see how being able to spawn at that location basically negates what DayZ is supposed to be? You'd have no value for your life or your gear anymore. You could shoot anyone you want as carelessly as you want, because it doesn't matter. If you die, you spawn near there again, run to your dead body, collect all your previous loot and rinse and repeat from there. A death is DayZ should be harsh and involve spawning somewhere far away from where you were previously, not wherever you like.

The spawn is only available the first time to get the group going. Die and it's coast time.
