Length of night cycle?

Logged in last night after updating and it was night on the server. I watched the clock and i was around 20 minutes before it started getting light. Has anyone ran through a whole night cycle yet and timed how long it is?

I stay on the server when it gets dark, just how I like to play but I do know many will log out to find a different server in daylight.

I went through a few nights, though didn’t actually time it. Felt like it was around 45 minutes or so.

It's very long and I've used it to my advantage a few times. I like the fact that its about 45min; it makes using torches and night vision worth collecting.

there's no need for torches or flashlights anymore its a bit disappointing, I like how its longer now though.
