System of create a new character

Hi guys. I have some question. I can't understand what is that system to create a new character. I need ur help. Talk to me how loading a new character. Every time when i join the server i have each time a new person. Then its i have 1 person for 1 server? So i cant play my difficult characters on one server? How do this work?

If u understand my question, pls answer me.

I do understand - it's a huge pain that you can't create your own char when you die and respawn. That needs some thinking through. 

I keep thinking "there's some really obvious button that I'm not pushing", but I can't see it. So now I have ridiculous-blonde-guy-whose-straw-hair-clips-through-every-hat...

When you die, you must go back to the main menu and cycle through the characters you have already created, and choose one, then join by hitting play, or using the server browser.

I pretty much have one look that I go for, and i can always just click on the arrows to choose character, and get the one in my selected spawning clothing.

it is a bit of a drag that you don't keep the same look after death when just staying in the server and hit respawn.  But on busy private servers, this actually gives others a chance to get through the queue, so not all bad from an altruistic perspective.
