bent.toe 529 Posted December 9, 2018 1. Why have you sealed of the rooftops on the tallest buildings around chernagorsk (Dubky etc)? Or have they always been sealed on Xbox? 2. Have you added some countermeasures to prevent people from putting up tents inside buildings (garage, factory etc) and save them there? Because two times today we have put up tents inside various buildings (without any items in them) only to comeback after a server reset and find no tent. Bug or countermeasures? So tents need items in them to be saved from server resets?

No, they made the top staircase collapse and put an invisible wall so you can't even jump up there.
DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted December 10, 2018 Just now, bent.toe said: No, they made the top staircase collapse and put an invisible wall so you can't even jump up there. Ah, haven't tried since last update, but you certainly could get up there till recently. I'll try next time I'm down that way.
bent.toe 529 Posted December 10, 2018 Yeah, checked every tall building..they all the same.
DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted December 10, 2018 Which stairs have an invisible wall, the broken ones at the bottom?
bent.toe 529 Posted December 10, 2018 36 minutes ago, DayzDayzFanboy said: Which stairs have an invisible wall, the broken ones at the bottom? At the top floor, the first floor is jumpable and you can enter apartments.
DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted December 10, 2018 Hmm, i was in an apartment yesterday funnily enough looking for tents but didn't bother going upstairs. I remember it being quite fiddly getting onto the ladder for the final climb up. I can't imagine why they would stop people getting up there. Maybe something changed with the hitbox for the stairs making it tricky to get up?

The whole top floor (with apartments) are unaccessable due to an invisible wall and collapsed staircase. I've checked around 25 tall buildings around chernogorsk and they are all the exact same model with exactly the same invisible wall and collapsed staircase. ImpulZ 2491 Posted December 10, 2018 Just to clarify if there might be an issue: In the tall apartment building, the stairs from the ground floor upwards are completely collapsed, you need to jump into the elevator shaft and climb the ladder. When the ladder is broken, climb back into the staircase and use the stairs for 6 floors (passing the broken own elevator) On the floor above the broken down elevator, past the damaged staircase, you find the staircase completely destroyed. Climb in the elevator shaft on the broken elevator and continue to use the ladder to the top. Some floors are not intended to be accessible.
DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted December 10, 2018 Yeah this is what I used to do so I'm assuming you still can but haven't tried today. Like I say, I remember having to very cautiously lean into the open elevator shaft to get the climb ladder prompt. It feels like you're about to fall down the shaft but you do get the prompt. Not sure if this will be harder at the moment because you can't change shoulder view in third person.

Never thought about the elevator shaft. Could you check/clarify with the team if tents can be put up indoors? We put up one in a house the other day (no items in the tent 0/120) and after server restart it was gone. Was it: A. The server recognise an empty tent and removed it so that the server/game world is not littered with empty tents. B. It is a bug when placed indoors or to high above ground. Can we get some kind of recognition in this from the dev's? As i stated earlier, we have had 2 tents in two different locations since the base+car patch (3 weeks) that are still there. They are on another server than the one we now play on. Could it be with scripts for the servers? Are something missing so that some servers remove tents while others keep them? DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted December 12, 2018 Are you sure they weren't stolen? They would be extremely visible from quite a distance on a rooftop.

It's in the middle of nowhere on a very remote location and on a lowpop server. It's been 7 hours since we logged out and back in. Unless it's an insider job...i highly doubt it. DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted December 12, 2018 (edited) I thought you said on a rooftop? I think it's just one of those things that it could be anywhere but it only takes one person to spot it. The server I'm in varies from ten people to fourty plus people just when I'm on during evenings. I've no idea what it's like for the other twenty hours. And the time I'm on whenever I check the players, they're different players all the time. So, I imagine even on a low pop server, hundreds probably pass through the server when you consider server hoppers too. I think that the safest thing to do is bury stuff. I have a car in a very remote part of the map, but it's been found a couple of times and had wheels pinched so now I have it completely stripped down and all the parts hidden about the area. bent.toe 529 Posted December 12, 2018 There are lot's of accessable rooftops around, factories etc. It seems weird... Or are there a giant clan of base stealers working on every server? I just now ran up to our two old bases and both are still there..one of them are easy as hell to find. I just don't get it..i want to believe that no one can find the base in this short amount of time (did 3 guys follow us?) 7 hours NIGHT in EU on a weekday. But i guess people are that good and that fast.... Wondering why no one during 3 weeks have taken our two old camps..
DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted December 12, 2018 It is frustrating not knowing if it was stolen or just despawned.

So could we get some transparancy from the developers. Maybe talk and respond to the paying beta testers. @ImpulZ Edited December 12, 2018 by bent.toe
bent.toe 529 Posted December 12, 2018 Ok..so here is what we did just now. We ran to one of our old camps (a tent that been there with items since the tent+car patch 3 weeks ago) and packed it..walked for 3 hours (!!) to where we now have our base with dissapearing tents. Just to try if this particular tent is special and wont despawn. ... It's up, let the waiting game begin. @ImpulZ A wee bit annoyed by the lack of communication from the dev's. If we beta test and report, atleast give us some feedback and let us know if we just wasted 3 hours of hour life carrying a fucking tent across the map.
