The sun

Recommended Posts

I'd 1st of all like to say "thank you" for Dayz on Xbox.
Can you tell if the sun does work (ingame), if so, how?
I'm loving the game, just do not enjoy being lost.

I'm pretty sure the sun is static in the sky currently, but I could be wrong. I would imagine in an upcoming update we will get the day night cycle.

Does not seem to move yet, as it is always in the south east part of the sky for me.

Yeah, since Xbox servers are still being restarted too frequently for the night cycle to be allowed to run its course, the sun doesn't move much in the sky. Once stability is better and restarts won't need to be so frequent, you'll get nights and all that comes with it :)

The sun typically has ones shadow facing NW, so the sun will be in the SE direction.

My group and I have noticed some slight variation to the degree which our shadow faces through the time in a server.
