DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted September 10, 2018 So far the majority of this forum is really supportive. I myself am a console plebian, though have waited to play this game for many years. Hopefully, the forum will continue to be supportive to us new comers. So many gaming forums are full of PC elitists slagging off console players. But surely introducing this game to consoles has given a fresh lease of life to a great and unique game and ensured continued support and development. To those that have played on PC and console, how do you think the console version holds up so far, and how do you see it's future?
Skruffy 167 Posted September 10, 2018 They are the exact same, but pc has more guns, infections, broken limbs, stuff like that. Were almost caught up. I personally play the Arma 3 Exile mod, which is kind of a more expansive dayZ but in the arma world. Now that I'm getting into it, I'd like to see some of that stuff ported over to dayz. When talking about features/content, the Xbox version is the same as the current PC version. If features or individual actions are not working on Xbox it is due to bugs or keys not being assigned yet. When talking about broken limbs, more weapons etc you are referring to the outdated PC version 0.62. When switching from 0.62 to 0.63, a lot of content and features had to be removed temporarily due to engine changes. The current 0.63 PC version offers the same content/features as the Xbox version does.
