Switching weapon fire modes

Recommended Posts

Hi the key binding may not have been coded yet, but does anyone know if it's possible to switch the AKM, UMP etc from semi auto to full auto? I've seen them fired in full auto setting on PC but have tried all button combinations I can think of. Thanks for any responses

As far as we know firemode selection has not been implemented/disabled in the xbox version. Guns are a little glitchy right now especially with magazines. Be patient. Were only a couple of "DAYZ" into game preview. PUBG was an utter mess in its game preview but 10 months later its a beast and plays awesome.

I had an SMG and an M4 both with full mags and they only shot single shot. And now I'm dead.

That's because gun jamming is implemented into this game. If you cant get a mag into the gun, or if a mag is in the gun and one shot is the result, its one of 2 reasons:

1. Your inventory is too full to freely switch out a mag for another, (like Escape from Tarkov).

2. Your gun is jammed and can only insert one bullet at a time into the chamber.

If the gun is jammed, there is NO fixing it at this time, it becomes useless. Hopefully they will put in a way for your character to un-jam the weapon.

(Key Note): Dont put the gun on the ground, and remove the mag by pressing A to put the mag into your hands. That for sure jams the gun no doubt.

My guns have all been pristine and loaded in my hands with minimal inventory. They weren't jammed. Untill I see a video of someone shooting full auto and gonna believe it's only single shot for now. Btw bottom left corner it said semi auto and full auto. Still only single shot.
