Fireplace not safe

Recommended Posts

Hi survivors! Hi devs!

One small question: how on earth can you make a fire? Because I was not able to do that...
with the message: "Its not safe to make a fire" or something.

Does anyone know why? I tried to make one outside and inside... didnt work :(

Best wishes and thx for replying.

Raptor.

maybe you were to close...

in 0.62 i have noticed, that if you are to close to/on top of the fireplace, you won't be able to ignite it.

In 0.62 it is so that you can only light the fire if there are no objects within a radius of about 5-7 meters. Everything you can see on the map except the ground are objects. Trees and bushes have a smaller object influence than anything else (1-2 meters)

In 0.63, you can place the fireplace on an almost flat surface, and the influences of 0.62 will come.
In the rain this is a very big challenge, so that in civilian areas you can only make a fire in the houses with fireplaces.
