Settings are not being applied every time i restart Dayz

Title says it all. Every time i restart the game, it decides to go back to the default settings and i have to adjust them every time. How can i fix this?

Check you profile txt file in you C:\Users\yournamehere\Documents\DayZ, Make sure it's not set read only.

Thank you for the replies. Unfortunately i can't seem to find the dayz folder in my documents. why is that?

mine is located in H:/onedrive/documents but thats where I put it so I have access to the same documents when I game on the laptop as it syncs the files. Maybe you have done something similar?

That isn't either ill try to reinstall on my second drive, see how that goes
