Aim-iliO 7 Posted January 23, 2017 Its long time ago that it has been talked and things change fast in Alpha. I am an admin of Oldschooldayz.net and a few days ago we had the problem, that the persistance file got deleted by itsself (according to fragnet it happened before and the explenation is that according to the devs "its an alpha"). This was not a big problem, as there is a backup of the persistance file. We restored it and all the barrels and camps came back to their owners. The problem was that the file was broken, so that nothing was saved in the file. This meant that whatever you did with a container, after a restart it went to the condition like before the restart. Robbed barrels went to back to the location where they got stolen, placed items where deleted and replaced with items which where before in. Items which where picked up and still with the player, got duplicated in the barrel, etc. etc. . Today again stuff starts to disapear and people are getting nervous if the file is broken again. Which comes to my question..... Which containers have which livetime and how does their lifetime get updated actualy, and will there be any announcements if this will be changed? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I believe non-persistent are somehow varied and e.g. animal remains last longer, with pelts lasting longer than other parts. And I wander how long garden plots survive. zin0 17 Posted January 25, 2017 I'm about 100% sure that the persistence with barrels and tents are like they were in .60 which means the barrels and tents stay fro months. I've had barrels since .61 came out and they haven't re-spawned. myself and one of my friends had a problem in .60 with persistent files being corrupted, so we had fragnet backup the files and everything came back. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Is there realy nothing official? Where did you see that? I know a couple patches ago they were doing that. i've had barrels this patch i havnt touched for 8 days and they are good.
