Vanishing during gunfight

Today i was shooting at somebody in a policestation and i hit him a few times but then all of a sudden the person vanished. How the hell is that possible?

I am gonna take a wild guess, hold on, here it comes...he logged off?

I think there is a 30 sec log off delay right? And it happened in like a few seconds so i dont think that can be it.

Occasionally bodies will become invisible when you kill someone, only searchable if you scan over where their body was when killed. Certainly could have been that, or he could have crashed or logged off.. though his body would have stood there for at least 10-15 seconds.

I think if it is a crash, then the player just disappears instantly on the spot.  Was seeing lots of this happen last night on Experimental.
