is hypothermia still a death sentence?

Recommended Posts

got caught in the rain as a new spawn (coulda switched servers, but meh) and now I'm hypothermic.  in the last patch going hypothermic would kill you in 10 minutes even if you spent that whole 10 minutes in front of a fire - is that still the case this patch?

when I log back in I just don't wanna waste 10 minutes looking at a fire if I'm gonna die anyway.

Yes it can be if you don't set up a fire.

Set up a fire asap. If you don't have matches use your stone knife to cut bark off a tree and sticks then merge them to make a firedrill kit.

Without a fire, then yes, seems inevitable. I haven't survived long enough to get one going yet.

My easy going .60 countenance just isn't going to cut it in this patch.

You must make fire indoors, while warming up take off your clothes. I survived two hypothermic status and then gave up and changed server. Its boring siting in front of fire all evening.

ok thanks for the replies.  I'll get a fire going soon as I log in.  just wanted to be sure it wasn't a waste of time.

Just wondering how you make a fire in a log cabin that has a fire place?  Was huddled under a tree last night with my fire keeping warm but it's out in the open.
