Had the rare occasion to play DayZ for a few hours straight today.  I was experiencing hyperthermia around Pustoshka and decided to kneel down in a stream to cool off.  Walked away from the PC for a few minutes and was dead when I came back.  After watching a replay of the video I found out I had drowned.  My knee in the water drowned me.  So that wasn't what the fix was for.

Sorry, just salty.

I found out this also , just stay in the water until you get drenched then get out of the water. and make sure you are not in some invisible water also.
