What servers are good for finding players?

Recommended Posts

I've been playing on full servers for a while now, but I've been having a problem finding other players. Are there servers where you can find people in certain areas? I don't mean just for PvP, but for simply finding players. It's only been happening on this patch. Is it because players are more spread out? I've been watching streams where people don't seem to wait long before they encounter other players.

The obvious answer is popular servers. Ones that are hard to get into at times because so many people want to get on it.

You could look for popular servers which promote role play and restrict killing on sight (usually to specific zones) so that when people see you they might want to introduce themselves.

Which brings me to the final point. Take your time. Travel very stealthily. Constantly look around and be sure to move toward efficient vantage points. If somebody sees you before you see them, your chances of knowing they're there significantly drop. Be the first one to see them and not the other way around.

We're now far enough into the patch where either people have lost interest, or they're just into hardcore surviving, or they're PvPers who occasionally die and respawn,

As Rick says, on a hi-pop server you're pretty much assured of an 'interaction' around NWAF or Myshkino tents. If you just want to spot people, Veresnik Hill or overlooking Stary tents are good bets, but others will have the same idea.

You know where I find the majority of my interactions these days? Zelenogorsk and Green Mountain area. Pogorevka is frequently bouncin'. Of course, Pavlovo milbase, Veresnik milbase, NWAF, Myshkino tends, and the Lopatino-Vybor-Kabanino run are always high-density.

Of course, these tend not to be friendly interactions. I got punched out by some bambi in Kamyshovo recently, so I imagine that's still the same scrub-status ghetto arena that it's been since forever. I do find an unexpected number of players in the Staroye-Mogilevka-Vyshnoye run of late.
