I find a normal way for endless surviving:

Water Bottle+Army Knife+Hatchet+Matches+Bandage = endless surviving

I live in the woods (no zombies) , go hunting for meal and stay near a lake for fresh water anytime.

game complete and surviving granted.

This game was a great challenge thx.

Until you walk on a rock and break your leg(s). Sitting by a campfire eating the meat from your kill is good. But there is always that chance that something happens, and when it does, you will be tested.

If you think that is the end to the game, you don't play sandboxes much eh?

sounds like exactly the kind of thrilling adventures that these so-called PVE servers would provide

endgame would include making tin can sculptures and seeing who can collect the most FN FAL ammo and giving out prizes for 'best hug'

Surviving is not terribly exciting which is part of the problem with the premise of the game and the whole pseudo realism, pve pvp debate.

Most of the fun of dayz seems to involve being a serial killer

It's meant to be realistic, but your life isn't actually at risk. Just go in cherno and have some fun shooting people - It's only a game, survival is optional, entertainment is mandatory.

I think we've all known about this.. but whatever, my jimmies remain unrustled.

I prefer to go diving into cherno/elektro/NW Airfield solo when I have a good amount of gear. I don't need anything per se.. I just like the thrill. That's what it's about right?

Though as boring as it gets, he is right. The game has indeed been beaten, as he can pretty much stay alive for infinite number of days, as long as nobody bumps into him...

Like many have stated before, if he feels he has 'beaten' the game, that's great. Move on to another game. Eventually, people that don't truly understand the meaning of a sandbox game will move on. Then the rest can play the game how it truly is intended.

Doing what the OP has stated, he is truly missing out on some of the real fun of the game. Of course he feels bored.
