BeaverProductions 441 Posted April 16, 2016 I've spoken to more than a few people who think that the ruined hunting scope is inaccurate. This video shows the test we performed to prove or disprove the rumour.

I've found lots of bodies (some I may have had something to do with) which had a ruined scope in their pants. The same principle applies for damaged ones too though. Some people think the damaged ones are inaccurate too. It's all in their head
Sofa King 42 Posted April 16, 2016 A friend and I have done some testing with a damaged and pristine scope on both a blaze and winchester. Happened to be in Mogilevka as well. I couldn't notice any difference at 500m either, though it is sometimes hard to tell with the unnatural sway.

We were going to test at 500 as it would have been more accurate to hit the aiming spot, but I wanted to test from max range just in case the change was small. Red_Ensign 990 Posted April 16, 2016 why would you even bother with a ruined scope? it's probably 100x more rare than a non-ruined one.

If you want to frame that into a discussion point, I will happily reply. Why would I bother? Why would I not bother? Edited April 16, 2016 by edoian
