TheThomax 1 Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Hi everybody ! I would like to propose, more characters personalization like age (between 12 & 60), tall, weight, ... And that affects character statistics like running speed, health, stamina, skill to fire, power of melee attacks, sneak abilities, ... Examples : -A child (12) couldn't use rifles (only guns), he couldn't carry a lot of loot because of space in his clothes, he couldn't hit hard, BUT he could more easily sneak, make much less noise, and easily dodge attacks, ... -An adult (20-40) could run faster, shoot more easily, BUT he needed more food or water to be healthy, ... I think that can be nice for roleplay : If your character is a child or an old man/woman, other players could help you more than if you was an adult. So, I think that can make the game more roleplay, and... more diversified ! P.S : Excuse my English. Edited April 7, 2016 by TheThomax
Noctoras 409 Posted April 3, 2016 Books, books, books. As basics for doing small surgery like wound debridement or heal broken legs, a book on medicine could be a precondition. A book on huntin for manufacturing a boy and arrows .... just two randomly picked suggestions. Books would have so much potential for a skill system and they already are in game - I still think a char skill system where the only difference is doing the same action 10, 20 or 30 times quicker is a waste of programming resources. Yes I mean the devs know about Project Zomboid, hell the cooking system was inspired by PZ, so why not add book skills
TheThomax 1 Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) I agree ! Making some things quicker is a waste of programming time. But ! I talk about physics personalizations ! In the "character" menu, making your character smaller, bigger, ... Could affect natural statistics ! Smaller : Better sneak abilities, less noices, need more food, lot of stamina, harder to fire, ... Bigger : Less needed food, more noices, not a lot of stamina, ... And with an age customization, that'll affect all your character ! Like a selection of your survival difficulties ! Edited April 4, 2016 by TheThomax
stinkenheim 249 Posted April 4, 2016 watch as all the coastal snipers suddenly play as 7 year old girls to MASSIVELY reduce their profile and make it harder to be shot.... No thank you. Don't want this in the game. Player models should be physically the same (albeit male/female) and then there can be additional skills added by the use of books, or as the devs are planning, by completing a task multiple times e.g Run loads = better stamina.
TheThomax 1 Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) XD Okay. This could be really weird. But, with a limitation on what kind of weapon could be used by smaller characters ? (Like rifles !) And, of course with a minimal age to keep a little realism ! Like... 12 ? ^^ Edited April 7, 2016 by TheThomax
xgobacktosleep 21 Posted May 4, 2016 I'm all for character personalization and want some more customization options in the future but I think age should always be 18+ for character models in this game. Can you imagine the lawsuits otherwise? I can. There's already enough depravity in the community.
