Specialist308 0 Posted March 3, 2016 Hey DayZ Community! New to the game, decided to go with this rather than the H1Z1 runner up. I tried searching forums a bit but couldnt find a thread related to my question. When I start a new character my screen is black and white as if its an old movie setting. Is this normal ? or do I have to tweak some graphics settings a bit. I don't have any issue with my CPU hardware or anything of that nature and can run the game without lag on high settings from what it seems. Do I need to find a medkit or something in the start to take the black and white off? Also note when I started the game the time setting is at night. Thanks in advanced! I mean it might just be how the game looks at night time I guess I could test a daytime server and see, But to me it looks completely grey-scale for color. You can regain blood by getting the healing status, which you can get by getting the hydrated and energized statuses, which in turn you can get by drinking and eating respectively. You don't start your character having lost a lot of blood. This is a separate issue. OP- just post a screenshot. I'm pretty sure it's just nighttime and your gamma settings are on the high end. ATM you don't need flashlights, headlights, or any sort of light source. A trending cheese is to actually turn your gamma up to get "gamma goggles" which make you see even better then that at night. Keep in mind it's Alpha, and things have a way of drastically changing. I could see why they wouldn't want true night with still tinkering and refining the loot economy, as that could make a seriously questionable experience if sources of light where too difficult to find.
