Police Corps, different weapons per area

Hello fellow DayZ players,

 

Since the introduction of the Central Economy system and the addition of several new weapons in the past year I have an idea in my head. It has to do with the numerous police stations and police cars all over the Chernarus map. As of now they all spawn different weaponry which belong to the class of medium weapons. However, you find a huge amount of different weapons at these locations. You can have 3 different pistols, if not more, while it doesn't make sense (from my perspective, please share yours) to have such many different weapons for your police force. Most police forces use standard issue weapons, mostly pistols for 'daily' use, and SMGs/shotguns for raids or more heavy situations. Sharing the same bullet also makes sense, it allows you to use one stock of ammo for different weapons within your police force. 

My suggestion is to divide the Chernarus map into different police forces. Either by region/location or by the size of the city the police station/car is in.

You can start off by changing the weapons per force. For example: Cherno. A big city with also a big police force. Also a modern city. So you give them the more modern weapons in their arsenal. These weapons will spawn in the police cars in the area and the police station.

 

Example of their Arsenal:

Standard issue pistol: CR75 (9mm), Standard issue SMG: MP5K (9mm), Standard issue shotgun: Saiga, curved mags (buckshot)

Relatively modern weapons, sharing mostly the same bullets. In a later stage, police uniforms spawning at the area could have the name of their police force on the uniform. 

 

When it comes down to the more less "poor" regions or the rural regions of the map you let the police stations and cars spawn less modern weapons. Take Novy Sobor as an example (rural area)

Standard issue pistol: Makarov (.380), Standard issue SMG: Skorpion, Standard issue shotgun: MP-133 shotgun (buckshot)

 

In the end it should force the people who more less prefer certain weapons that belong to police forces/spawnpoints to move to a predetermined area. In my case, I really enjoy the MP5. This suggestion, if implemented, forces me to big cities such as Cherno, Novo, Berezino in order to get this weapon and the attachments that belong to this weapon. It also goes the other way around. If you decide that only the Zelenogorsk police force will have magnums, it could force people to move to this area in order to get their favorite 'handcannon'.

 

Please share your perspective and feel free to add things that could make this suggestion a better addition to the game

This would be a cool aspect, we could also have (in bigger cities such as cherno and electro) new types of clothing such as new swat type gear. Whereas in smaller towns there would only be police uniforms. They could also add new buildings, like small police station and big police station. There could be a police headquarters in Cherno with lots of high tier police loot, and even some military-grade assault rifles, they could also add things like Swat van crashes.

I had never really thought of this kind of loot distribution for cop stations but i do think its a really good idea... Although having the best weapons spawn at the (cop stations) biggest cities that are on the coast ? I'm not sure about that ^_^

Anyway hope we see more of this sort of thing.. apparently loot distribution is improved significanty in .60 but the proof will be in the pudding and we all know not to get to excited about anything the devs say at all EVER.. 

 

 

Random, we already have police car spawns so i would say thats all we will see in that respect.. I'm thing i would like to see salvageable ambulance vans and grocery trucks :D

Of course it is up to the developers to decide which weapons spawn at the hotspots on the map and which ones spawn at the relative quiet places.
