what's with the mannequin animals

Recommended Posts

every time I come across deer, they're frozen.  I can walk up and whack them with a cooking pot and they don't move.  or die.  it's weird.

There seem to often be ghost animals.  They'll generally run away, but some times if they create a "ghost" in their original position after leaving.

This seems to be fixed in experimental. Animals move around and behave normally. In 0.58 I once found aherd of maybe six cows running around in a circle. I went and stood in the middle of the circle and they ran around me for a while.

My experience in 0.58 is that for the most part animals stand stock still, and then as soon as I shoot them, they disappear. Not run away or anything good, but just disappear from view. Clearly bugged, great if they're fixed in .59.

I wonder if the food poisoning mechanic has also been tweaked, as in the early days of 0.58, when I did manage to kill and skin animals, the chances of catching food poisoning (after cooking the steaks) seemed better than 50%....
