Where are the hotspots these days?

I played a ton of the mod and haven't played much since standalone first came out, but I decided to give it another go.

 

I spent a significant amount of time in the western half of Chernarus, and I never saw another person, even on servers with 30+ people online. There was nobody at Belota Airfield, Zelenogorsk, the radio tower, Stary Sobor, or even NWAF!

 

Where does everybody go in standalone?

Cherno and Elektro for PeeVeePee, duh.  You been living under a rock or somethin?  The Airfield and Myshkino tents are still pretty decent, as is ZG military site.  You just gotta pick the right servers.

depends - there are several private hives that reset regularly -> classic coastal pvp in cherno and berenzino

private hives without resets -> players spread over the whole map, base searching and sometimes battles at nwaf and myshkino

public -> can be anything

So it seems... I just went to Cherno and got shot through a wall... but at least there were other people around.

As other people say its pretty much cherno and electro. lots of pvp due to lack of zombies but still some good interactions to be had. I remember .57.. that was total war in the cities. now at times it can be eerily quiet.
