Anyone have a good private server where people go north and dont stay on the coast...

The DayZ Colony US-1, WOBO EU community server,The Gents of Novo (either the USA or UK server) and if you like 1PP, the -UN- Clan server. All of these are private, open servers.

Based on personal experience, all of these have good population, great admins without abusive behavior, and good player interactions, no matter what you're looking for.

If you're an Aussie - Pipsi and Aussie Convicts Attack Force. Pipsi throws events every now and then (one is starting in 10 minutes in fact,) and has a few streamers involved (most notably Holymanhowto.) They have a huge active admin team, 5 servers (all Australian) and most action seems to take place around the Northwest Airfield. Aussie Convicts Attack Force is part of the Global Shard network of private hives, and have an active admin team. Charli3 DayZ is responsible for the server and he is a streamer too. They almost have a PVP event every night, though these tend to be focused on the coast. Besides these events though, the northwest is very active, and the guys from Pipsi are involved there too. There's actually a 20 v 20 community showdown next week between ACAF and Pipsi.
