AbsolumHD 0 Posted October 6, 2015 Well guys , i am here now after basicly trying almost anything possible.i have bought a new computer CPU : i7 5775CGPU : GTX 970RAM : Ripjawsx 2x8gb ddr3PSU : Antec 650W VP650PMotherboard : GA-H97-HD3 since the very first run , i am basicly having problems with any bohemia game. i've tried to run dayz standalone , arma2 & arma 3.all 3 games end up with the same result , my computer completely freezes with a buzzing sound. obviously i have checked other games as well such as Rust , Rome 2 Total War and a few others.running everything on ultra , also did some stress tests and everything is working just fine, until i run any of the 3 above. i am just out of ideas here. and im hoping you guys can think of something i haven't. i did think it could be a psu or ram issue or even a gpu , but im guessing i would get the same issue playing other games too... but no. it only happens playing arma 2 & 3 or the standalone. thanks in advance. boneboys 7988 Posted October 6, 2015 Strange this only concerns BI games, read through this first, if the solution is not found I suggest you submit support tickets to both DayZ SA & ArmAIII Trackers.http://www.battleye.com/support/faq/ https://feedback.dayz.com/my_view_page.php http://feedback.arma3.com/view_all_bug_page.php
OrLoK 16185 Posted October 6, 2015 Hello there Check your CPU temps, perhaps as happened with me your thermal paste is failing. I only noticed issues with one or two highly CPU reliant games the rest worked fine. see if you can find ant stress test apps to try to isolate the faile. Rdgs LoK hey , thanks for both of you for the help. i will try to see maybe the problem really is a heating problem. i obviously did run some heating tests to see if thats the problem but it didnt seem like it is. but i will try to monitor the cpu temps running dayz once again. also i forgot to mention , it doesn't always happen straight away , i had times where it happened at the menu while im changing my settings sometimes it happened after 30-40min of gaming. GaryWalnuts 1680 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) It's probably worth a mention - make sure that you've removed any launch parameters from the steam launcher.Steam Library > DayZ (right click) > Properties > Set Launch Options > (Remove Everything)Even on a new computer and a freshly installed DayZ any launch params may still be there as they are synced in steam not saved locally.Good luck! *edit* My bad, it's not just DayZ SA, still I suppose setting all launch params to default would be a wise Edited October 6, 2015 by GaryWalnuts
AbsolumHD 0 Posted October 7, 2015 ok so i checked the heating issue , running prime95 and it seemed like even at the hardest of tests my CPU only reached 60'C... i tried to play the old DayZ mod (arma2) and it seemed like its working pretty good only tried it for 20min or so but it felt like its working well. but still , say Arma2 DayZ mod does work fine , why do i keep getting those freezes playing Arma3 & DayZ standalone... i just can't figure this out :(((( btw i had no launch params , i checked...
